I really understand your point and I am by no means trying to condemn your opinion. But what is clear is that you are trying to state a cap for the number of episodes cdrama should be working with an emphasis on "Straight to the point and better quality". We both know that duration does not drive the storyline of a drama but the storyline drives the length of a drama. This was why I said earlier that the right question should have been "Is the drama worth 38 episodes?" and I am sure we will all have different responses with regard to that. In my opinion, if the drama deserves 100 episodes, please go ahead but don't try to squeeze 10 episodes into 1 all because we are trying to cap the number of episodes just like they did in LLTG.

The key question is whether the length of the series can be justified and not just you making a very subjective demand that it should be cut short.
This is the craziest statement i have heard recently. Well, you are entitled to your own opinion, but you can't tell me LLTG is boring and yet it is breaking bounds and records out there just within 6months. You must be watching it with a BIAS mindset or hating on one of the main leads, Leo Wu i presume.
But as far as i am concern, base on acting skills and not idol bruhaha, no Chinese actor in his past immediate and current generation are close to his level of acting. He is MILES apart in his originality.
