Guess I'll wait til it's over, or there are more reviews. I bailed after the first half. Parts--even lots of them--are really funny, but I wanted a different tone than this.

She's sitting in an interview room and her own attorney is so stupid, she's trying to get her to admit to conspiracy to murder? Is it her attorney's first case, or what? Also, I realize law is different in S. Korea, but don't these genius attorneys know that the cops are listening to and watching every thing they say? Don't they know that that's what cops are allowed to do in S. Korean (if they are?) This is a level of stupid representation that ought to get her attorney disbarred. Even in S. Korea, the advice people get is not to talk without their lawyer present. What good is this advice if your attorney gets you to say what the police couldn't, and then that's used against you in court? So very, very dumb, and a real disservice to S. Korean viewers.

Completely agree. Thailand's law firms, like other law firms the world over, are not known for their sense of play, humor or dress. You couldn't wear any of these clothes, you probably couldn't date a co-worker, you absolutely could not have these kinds of public brawls. It's just too silly for words.

The best thing about this oh, so typical lakorn is the opening OST.

After that, it's beautiful people playing stupid games, winning stupid prizes. It wouldn't be a lakorn if it didn't feature a fairly weak FL, a 2nd FL with a personality disorder who messes with everyone she encounters, and ML and 2ML who are equal parts great looking, nutsy about the FL, and fairly stupid. There's not much original story telling going on here (not that you'd watch a lakorn for that reason, anyway,)

It's going to be too long, and it's already too tropey, and I'm only at episode 8.

Very interesting article! I wish I'd paid more attention to television when I was in China in 2003. The only thing I think I got in my hotel room was the news, CNN, and whatever was being streamed on cable (think HBO). I was in a big hotel, and I'm American, so I have no idea what effect that had on what was available to watch. (My hotel room was searched thoroughly every day!)

She's had a very difficult last 12-18 months, for sure, but I think a lot of it is some deliberate styling for the show. She's meant to look icy, but it's a bit overdone, I think.

I like it, and I'll be watching to the end. Seo Yea Ji gives her usual compelling performance, and when she's in the scene you can't look anywhere else. She's so very thin and so very pale, though.

It's a Cdrama, so the tag is probably a mistake.

I like this, but I've watched half of it now, and the steam of the initial episodes is getting lost. Sadly.

Now all that sexy tension is getting diluted by having it happen within a happy relationship. I'm sure that's how it's supposed to go, but it's still a little disappointing. (Yes, I know that's an odd take on the show.)

Quite possibly the worst theme music ever. The singer will not be launching her fabulous singing career with this tune. Then a male takes a shot at the same song. He's worse. Honestly, they're terrible. (The rest of the show is slightly better. )

What a lovely show. Unexpectedly good.

BL is not my genre, but a good drama is just a good drama, no matter who, and no matter what.

I thought, no, that can't be right, but then I looked it up. A goldfish can remember things for up to 5 months. Who knew?

Considering a performer's background and politics, if they're known, provides important context when you're deciding whether you want to watch a drama. It might not matter to you, or to others, but it does matter to some.

It's not that I drop a show so much as it's I get a little bored, start watching something else, and then sort of don't ever come back to the first show. Lately, I've started watching shows in sections, and that's been working out pretty well. That's how I watched "Lady of Law"-- the first five, then episodes 13-25, then 36-40.

The subs of this drama are . . . . challenging. I'm really glad it's getting subbed, but I wish it was being done by someone with a firmer grasp of English personal pronouns. I know Mandarin is non-gendered language, and I wish English was, too, to be honest, but it isn't. The default personal pronoun in this show is "he", which is a huge pain in the butt for a drama where the cast is mostly women.

But the annoying subs aside, I really like it. There's a strong sexy vibe that's refreshing, and the ML is as adorable as puppy. If I were her, I'd teach him how to kiss, though. (I'll do it for free.)

Now if only I could understand what the heck these legal cases are about.
