As a big fan of Ice World, should I bother watching this? I was waiting for it to finish airing before checking it out but the ratings and the comments are making me a little hesitant.
The cognitive dissonance of them presenting the ML as a passionate animator who went to CalArts and his work being the most generic looking AI-slop is crazy.
They've done such a poor job developing their characters and relationship that all these dramatic scenes feel like they lack emotional weight. That ending scene should have been a big cathartic moment but it kind of just fell flat for me.
This has been filming since June and only 6Qs done😭Isth p'new does this always when he has too much in his…
I don't know why New (and Jojo—since we're talking GMMTV) always take on so many projects all at once. And you know damn well they're most likely gonna have even more shows lined up for 2026 as well. Like, finish your backlog first please lol.
Wait—this isn't being handled by Parbdee Taweesuk anymore? My confidence in this has dropped slightly. The new director's track record doesn't look so hot either.
I'm pretty sure most of these Mae Hong Son episodes were the very first Qs they filmed — I can't imagine how draining it must have been to film so many emotionally charged scenes back to back as soon as they clocked in. Kudos to both Jimmy and Sea for delivering such amazing performances.
anyone else notice the Avocean themed band-aid that Thap put on In's arm??
Yeah, it's a cute little meta touch. Even the candies Thap gives In have tiny avocados and waves on them. Also In's tarot deck has JimmySea's JS logo on the backs of the cards.
I don't think so? The filming for this has been very sporadic. I'm not even sure why New/Wabi Sabi started this when they have their hands full with Revamp.
Am I misremembering or did Bongsu/Yeomhwa not claim the lives of 100 people? Why is no one making that a bigger deal than it should be? I know they've both suffered in their own ways but they shouldn't be treated with kid gloves.
Such a massive gulf in quality between the pilot and official trailers. Listen, I love JimmySea DOWN but that pilot trailer wasn't it. To be honest, I still don't get why Nomnoms wanted this adaptation for JimmySea so badly because the novel didn't seem that special but this trailer swayed me a bit.
Also, thank God the poster isn't an overly photoshopped mess.
For sure it's probably all gonna be merch lol.

I'm a bit confused about Rati's upbringing. His birth mother is a servant but why did she give him up?
Also, was that middle-part slicked down hair a common style at the time? I'm dying everytime I see it 😂
