I see the posts about the age difference between the actors and that surprised me. It is true that there is an age difference between the actors, 7 years. But apparently there isn't that much of a difference between the characters in the drama, since she and he went to the same high school. This is how I understand this scenario, otherwise it cannot be understood. After all, the actress in "Our beloved summer" played a character older than her real age. Here it will probably be the same, because both main characters will be people after the college in the present plot. As for the choice of actors, he has already played the main characters in dramas, movies, she is much less known, so this choice is somewhat clear in show business. A more famous person does publicity for the drama.

I tried to add a director, but he is not in the mydramalist database. There are others with the same name, but it's not him. The right one has this biography:
"Born in 1971, KIM Tae-gyun first thought of making movies after he happened to watch by chance on television JANG Jun-hwan's short <2001 Imagine> (1994). He entered the Hankyoreh Film School, and after graduation he was lucky enough to work on KWAK Kyung-taek's directing debut, (1995). This marked the beginning of a friendship and a two-decades-long collaboration, KIM serving as First Assistant Director on KWAK's <3Pm Paradise Bath House> (1997) and (1998). He later held the same position for KIM Sung-hong's (1999) and (2001). His first directing effort came in 2010 with his short , which was followed by his feature debut (2012), based on one of his screenplays.
In 2012, a current affairs TV program on a detained murderer who revealed a list of victims who were unaccounted for triggered his inspiration. The following day, he met the detective in charge of the case and started working on a script but decided to wait until the conclusion of the trial before writing the ending. In the meantime, KWAK agreed to supervise the project as executive producer and co-write the script. The project finally came to completion came back in 2017 under the title "Dark Figure of Crime” , with KIM Yun-seok in the lead. KIM and KWAK received Best Screenplay at the Blue Dragon Awards and from the Korean Association of Film Critics" source:

Title Yumi's Cells Season 2 Spoiler
the biggest mystery who's gonna be Shin Soonrok? i believe he will appear in season 2 as per director's post drama…
I think it might be an actor who has already been announced but has not been told who he will play. He is an actor older than the comic character and that's probably why people didn't speculate about him as S. https://kisskh.at/698645-yumi-s-cell-2/cast

I don't think I fit any of the types mentioned, maybe a little bit to the last one. I don't watch a lot of dramas during their airing, but I usually know what's on, who's playing and what the plot is, more or less. Sometimes I need to know the ending and only then do I decide to watch. I don't even start watching many dramas, because I know the script and I know that I won't like the plot, I know that if I don't like the cast, I won't be able to watch anything. The "bigger" stars, the less likely I am to watch a drama. I don't like most top actors, because they are simply weak actors, and have only surgical beauty. I watch drama just for the story now, I don't have favorite actors for whom I would watch any sh*t. Recently, I only watch drama from South Korea and Japan. It happens very rarely for me to watch something from Thailand, but I think I will stop, because my democratic soul is struggling with Thai plots. Politics is very important to me, so I look to see if the drama comes from a democratic, communist or totalitarian state. That is why South Korea and Japan are actually the only countries whose drama fits my democratic criteria.

I know this may be a lot to ask, but can someone write a mini story plot and conclusion with as much details on…
1 ML had a pretty messy storyline, and overall it may not be satisfactory if someone is a fan of the actor. I liked it, although his story was rather tragic. He did not die, but he gave his biological father's money back, which he did not like, lost his illusions in humans, and was alone in life. He did not actually take revenge. 2 ML made a career, sold himself and his ideals, then lost everything, returned to his ex-wife and son. The ex-wife also went through a similar path, prostitution, her career as a popular actress collapsed, she had a trial (in Korea profiting from sponsorship-prostitution is punishable), she finally understood that fame is less important than love of loved ones. There was some moralizing here, but in general the rich did not learn a lesson (unless the lack of genuinely loving people was the lesson), only those who were once poor and wanted to make careers through paid sex. One person, 1 FL, paid with her life, she choose ambition and make a career and money through sponsorship. Ultimately, she lost everything when she tried to break free to her sponsor. She realized that years ago she should have chosen a more difficult path in life, not committing a certain crime. Nobody loved her, she lost the man she loved (1 ML, photographer), she was facing trial, finally she killed herself. She was the main and most important character in the drama.

Overrated drama, colorful but empty, one that you don't remember after it's finished. I didn't feel any chemistry between the protagonists at all. Good thing it only has 12 episodes, otherwise I probably wouldn't have watched all the episodes.

She has a good heart and knows who to give her money to.
I am a Polish citizen and "thanks" to Russia's "courtesy" 30 kilometers from my country's border there are long-range Russian launchers capable of firing missiles up to 500 kilometers. Every inch of my country is at risk. Such missiles that can carry nuclear charges and which Putin has already threatened with more than once. For what ? As a punishment that we wanted to be a more prosperous and safe country, we joined the European Union and NATO. Now Putin reminds in his speeches that these missile stations are not for decoration. We never wanted any wars that would destroy our country. However, we have a history of centuries, when Russia, then the USSR (and Russia again), deprived us of our freedom (not only the Germans attacked us, but now we live in harmony with them). We are not owned by Russia, and this is how the country wants to treat us as if we were their servants. Currently, 300,000 refugees from Ukraine (so far, of different nationalities, not only Ukrainians) are in our country, because we are in solidarity with their suffering. I have many friends from Ukraine who never wanted a war, only that nobody would take their freedom and sovereignty. My country was founded over a thousand years ago. My country's identity has never been linked to Russia in any way. We were historically unlucky to come across a aggressive neighbor. This is the greatest misfortune of our country. I am writing about it for those who do not care about facts and history and can write nonsense about the history of my country and its statehood.
And for those who believe so in Russia, I have a piece of advice: get interested in what the Wagner group is and what it is doing in Africa, in the Middle East and other parts of the world. Because one day you will realize that you hate one imperialist (the United States) and that you praise Russia, the second imperialist, is preparing for you the same fate of countries to use.

Title Sponsor
It is a story about people who are ready to sell their body to achieve their various goals. Hence the title "sponsor". There is nothing romantic about drama. Everything is for sale, including "love". The character's motives are complicated, ambiguous. Morally, the drama is in the gray area. Personally, I like the drama very much, although in the first two episodes the connections between the characters may seem unclear. However, everything and everyone is related to each other and it seems to me that it should develop nicely in the next episodes.

“If the celebrity in question were female, it wouldn’t matter whether the abortion was a consensual or rational decision,” said Yunkim Ji-yeong, an associate professor of philosophy at Changwon National University. “Her career would be virtually over. Immediately resuming her activities, like Kim has been able to, would be unthinkable."
"This dialogue is not about a certain celebrity; it shows the general double standard applied to men and women in Korea regarding abortion," she said. "Korean society’s reaction to abortion is much more lenient on men, reasoning that ‘it’s not illegal now, so he didn’t commit a crime.’ But women, whether it was before or after the abortion ban was ruled unconstitutional, were and still are commonly condemned as ‘murderers’ for terminating pregnancies. Kim's scandal is a small, gloomy reflection of Korea’s abortion dialogue in general.”

So the fans of the actor should be glad that he is a man (and that is probably why they adore him), otherwise they would never see him on the screen again. I paste it, but if someone writes something to my post, I won't reply. First understand the mentality of the country before starting to criticize the people who just explain what the country is like.

The last paragraph a factory worker can be controversial but not the celebrity that actually shows ur mentality…
This is the social reality in South Korea regarding abortion.

According to Yunkim, the ongoing debate transcends this specific incident and says more about how women and men who have undergone abortion are treated differently in Korean society.

So it is actually unfair, if the actor's career could not suffer, when the career of the actress in the same situation would certainly be over.

Your entire point of view is based on your personal views on abortion. If you disagree with it that is entirely…
Some people cannot read with comprehension. Where did I write that I am against abortion? Nowhere. I wrote that an actor who has had an abortion in his private life will find it difficult to get rid of the image of a person associated with the abortion. Doubtful that he would get the role of the future daddy who wants a child above all else. It would be too much of a dissonance with his private image. This is how the entertainment industry works in some countries.

He did not contact his "employers" for 3 days. A normal person gets fired from work after one unexplained day. He's fortunate not to be canceled for good in this industry anyway.

For me, he is on the list of actors whose dramas and films I will never watch. Nice celebrity personalities are created to sell more. When I read comments about celebrities like "husband / boyfriend material", "good as an angel", I always think about what is in the minds of people who write things about people they don't really know. You don't know celebrities, they are products of the entertainment industry. Their life stories are often made to extract as much money as possible from people. And seriously, for the money they get, they should live like saints, because a factory worker who works hard for pennies can be controversial, but someone who is paid millions for acting should have some decency, and not be silent for 3 days when the people with whom he worked are facing financial and reputational losses because of it. Besides, how is he going to play the role of a father or future daddy in the drama? It is one thing not to have children and to play a father, but another to play a father when everyone is publicly aware of abortion.

You posted this a while back, but my guess is that they would probably change the ending to make it two seasons.…
Shooting for the second season ends in days. As far as I know, the main actress has a new drama, which she starts shooting almost immediately after the shooting of Yumi's Cells 2 is finished. On the set of the new drama, she will probably be busy for about half a year. There are no news about Yumi's Cells 3.
