Can you tell me if the theme is like Busted? Like a pseudo reality show - there’s a script and a drama storyline?
Busted has a background story which continued over the 3 seasons. It is more of solving murder mysteries in a puzzle like manner. Overall same feel minus the competition between members. Busted is my #1 reality show!
I beg to differ. I was so excited for this drama and started a couple months ago but dropped at ep. 4. I tried again last week but just couldn't get past the gaming sequences. I randomly found YAMG a few days ago and binged through it in just 2 days. I like the mature theme of YAMG (maybe because at this point in life, I relate to the characters lol) and the passionate scenes were phew! Hot!! Also, the gaming sequences are so much easier to follow because we see the fights close up not just through a computer screen of the actors. I can't even tell who is fighting who in FITYS gaming sequences so it's boring for me. I'll give it one last try and see if I'll change my mind after but for now YAMG is gold.
I legit just came here to see if anyone else thought it was getting boring since the drama cool comment section…
I'm also watching My Roommate is a Gumiho. I initially wasn't interested in it because of the overused plot but I was pleasantly surprised. I love the spunk and comedy the FL brings to the drama
Secondary couple gets too much of the screen time.
Lmao, they get like 10% screen time. Idk why many people are saying this. Ji Na had just ONE scene with the 2nd MLs in ep 8. Any less screentime and they would show up every other ep.
people complaining about secondary couple getting too much screen time and here i am more invested in them than…
Eh?? Lmao for those who are saying that. The secondary characters barely have any screen time. It's like 90% main couple and 10% other characters. Ji Na had just one scene with the 2nd MLs in ep 8. A scene that was cut abruptly to make time for the main couple. I also am more interested in the secondary characters as the main story has become too cliche and boring.
There is so little to the plot that each episode chould be summarised using only one or two sentence and you still…
Yess!! I cannot for the life of me understand how he has fallen in love with her. Therefore, their romance is just bleh to me. I felt more chemistry between them from just holding hands in earlier episodes when the romance had not even begun. I'm glad I came to MDL to find comments that I can relate to. The comments on drama cool are so patronising, it was suffocating to see 99% of comments raving about the chemistry that didn't make sense to me.
Tak Do Young's styling is not doing her justice, PBY is such a gorgeous girl yet most of the time she looks like…
I've noticed that her styling is always off in her dramas - eg in this drama, Strong Woman, Abyss. She's very beautiful, yet in dramas, her beauty is always downplayed and we are made to believe she is very "plain" looking. Hence she's always dressed in non-fashionable or ajhumma clothes. Meanwhile, her friend who is portrayed as a very pretty character is better styled and wears more pronounced make-up.
8.8 rating but everyone says its boring? Its really that bad....?
I legit just came here to see if anyone else thought it was getting boring since the drama cool comment section is mostly positive lol. First 5 episodes were awesome in my opinion. However, it's beginning to be very cheesy, rather cliche and has lost that intrigue that made it stand out.
The side story should not have been incorporated into this drama. It just stands out too differently, it feels like it should be a standalone drama. Also the side characters are under utilized with barely any screen time. I didn't care for them in earlier episodes because I was more interested in the mystery and supernatural aspect of the main story. However, as the main story is becoming more cheesy with less mystery, I've gotten more interested in the side story whose screen time is getting shorter and shorter.
Probably bc of the chemestry. That is all I can remember from this. Everything else just vaished from my memory
Yo, someone just replied to my comment from 2 years ago and I came in here because I didn’t remember jack about this show or even watching it lol. Everything vanished from my memory as well.

Funny thing I just discovered it today. After watching this on Netflix, I went on Google to search for reviews only to find another movie. It will be out in Chinese cinemas so I don’t think it'll be on Netflix, at least not for a while. I guess we can only find out where to watch after its release ?Anyhow, something tells me the story line would be better than Dream of Eternity.
Mark Chao - Eternal LoveAllen Deng - Ashes of LoveWang Duo - Bloody RomanceSeriously? All my favorites!
I'm also stoked that Qu Chu Xiao (Chang An) from Bloody Romance is playing Bo Ya in the other adaptation of the Yin Yang Master that is based on the game.
