I agree with you. After the first two cases, I've been forcing myself to continue watching this drama. HDY is not my typical genre but I gave it a try and I'm obsessed. It's so good and much deeper than what you'd expect. I keep refreshing for new episodes lol.

I won't compare with this drama because they are different genres but comparing Unveil: Jadewind to other detective dramas it's simply not as good IMO. The culprits of some of the cases are so obvious and I don’t really care about the "why" for characters we know nothing about.

Plus she also got just 10 years so if Boudoir is atill standing by the time she's out, who knows ?

It's what happens when people start a show with pre-formed ideas and expectations about what it should be. When the story line deviates from their expectation, it's no longer good enough to satisfy them. Not saying this applies to everyone who didn’t like the show but it applies to most people. For example, I saw comments of folks expecting the Inventing Anna storyline and being disappointed that it isn't.

This show was a 8.5/10 in my opinion. I really enjoyed it enough to finish in one sitting.

Absolutely! It's so ironic that Boudoir is labelled fake by the police simply because its origin is not as prestigious as it claims. In my opinion, a fake is a copy but Boudoir was a brand of its own. I like how it parallel's real life luxury brands and the show highlighted how some so called fakes are exposed due to near perfect craftsmanship. The luxury brand business is full of ironies and I hope the lesson from the show is properly appreciated.

I started watching completely blind without any expectations and I must say, really enjoyed this show. This is one of the few shows lately to be able to hold my attention. All I can say is that the show is art and lives up to its name.

It was clearly a mistake. He was covering her mouth so she wouldn't scream. I find it weird that she died so fast. Im thinking she may have passed out and empress' goons finished her off but XHD thinks he did it.

Wanger actually mentioned some part of it when she first met ML and was explaining the plot of the novel to him.

I may be the odd ball here but I'm more interested in the leads and the drug case than the murder cases. After the first 2 cases, I haven't really cared for the rest. The leads have too little interaction and screen time together.

Why does he always wear that suit with the red tag on the pocket when meeting her? First at the gallery, the dinner in ep 12 and also ep 15 from the trailers. Their interactions are so weird!

I like it as well but got scared seeing a man with mouring clothes carrying a toddler girl child. I hope its a HE.
