I can't take this actor seriously, in my headcanon it's goddamn Vincenzo, and whenever I see him somewhere I just…
Honestly, me too. It's like I expect to see Vincenzo to be playing a part to capture more baddies for Hong Cha Young to deliver to hell's gate of justice, instead of a new role!!! Like the most competent duo ever created.
Err the actor for the SML, Lee Jong Hyun was part of the big Burning Sun scandal…. Dude was watching videos…
Sad to think he's in a scandal like this, but he was great in the show when I saw it. Anyway it's not like I'm a die hard fan or anything, so this scandal doesn't really concern me.
It's been a few weeks since I commented, and I miss Vincenzo again, so here we go.
TBH the thing I love most about the gorgeous female lead in the show is her sheer and absolute STRENGTH.
I mean, the lady has an inspiring backstory of an overworking father obsessed with justice to the point of neglecting his own family and maybe even not being that well-off, a sick mother to take care of all by herself, resulting in resentment towards her father and his manic fights for the weak which he always lost.
Hong Cha Young was probably convinced at a very early age that fighting for justice was a myth, specially after being alone with her dying mother while her father was away fighting yet another losing battle, and realised that perhaps fighting for power was a better choice, and what better way to have power than to have money with a thorough understanding of the law to influence people?
She inherited her father's love for the law and poured god knows how much hard work into becoming a barrister, and employed those skills to give herself the life she always wanted. It's only inevitable that she would become the top lawyer at a firm like Wusang, yet her love towards her father hardly ever diminished, despite everything. Even after she lost her last family member, even when she was let down by her own firm, her own 'friends', she never lost control of her emotions, and never once let it affect her competence, her willpower, her Light.
Throughout the show, she was exposed to far more violence and corruption than necessary and took it all in stride like a CHAMP. She always went with the flow, she was selfless and undemanding and logical, was smart and 10 steps ahead of everyone else in their plan (well, aside from Vincenzo of course), knew she was catching feelings for a man who had no interest in staying, yet never let that get in the way of her goal.
Honestly, I find myself asking the question, "What would Hong Cha Young do?" when I feel like I'm stuck in some place in life, or if I have to make a decision in the work-place, or even outside of it sometimes. And I follow on what I think she would do, because she is a smart, independent, strong, perceptive and intelligent woman, and I wanna be like her.
I really miss Vincenzo, hard to find a chemistry like VinCha!!
this will be filmed in belgium... sjk loves to film overseas !!
He was enamoured by the Vincenzo visuals I guess, he's travelled to Italy since then and now this! Also he was in Spain for Bogota too, right? It's great.
