Park Hee Soon was quite a revelation to me. I know, I'm quite late to the party. He's one of the handful of reasons…
He was a revelation to me as well, and you're not late because the Park Hee Soon appreciation party never ends!! I haven't yet seen anything else this man has been in, but he had me in the palm of his hands in this show, and is also the reason I loved it.
I am sure he is a versatile actor, he did such a splendid job in My Name, I will watch Detour as well if you think he was funny in that. Also, I've seen a video on You-tube where he made pizza from scratch with Kim Mooyul. Please watch it if you can, he was acting like a complete buffoon in that video haha. And it also shows his versatility indirectly because if he is like that in real life, then I am even more amazed by his ability to bring a character like Choi Mu Jin to life.
I am excited for A Model Family as well, in the meantime I've just been consuming amazing CMJ edits..
I mean that sounds honorable of him and all but truthfully we can't always take what we're told from celebrities…
I totally get that, but my reading is based on his interviews starting from like 5-6 years ago till now, and he has been consistent in his acting career about being private and also about reiterating his want of telling a unique story, no matter the theme of the show. I feel like it's almost impossible to project a fake persona for that long, and specially in a country like SK which I feel can be really invasive towards famous people, so I have to believe that he really is like he says. The only difference between then and now is that his last few shows have been not that great compared to his older ones, and unfortunately it's a coincidence that there has been almost a clear line between his action and non-action career at the same time. This can make anyone think that he is better suited as an action star (even himself), but again, his acting has been great in even the recent shows, so I hope he is not disheartened that his non-action career seems to have gone downhill (compared to his previous successes). I don't know what has been the driver between his choices either, but hopefully he is free to do as he pleases regardless. I love him too, he was the first actor I saw in Kdrama and also the first Oppa I obsessed over. I am happy he seems to be in a good action role again but I hope he still makes his own decisions about his career in the future, whether the shows do that well commercially or not.
YESSS tbh this show may not have the best story but Yeo Jin Goo is a certified sweetheart and I thoroughly enjoyed the show because he is beautiful and adorable and so sweet and sexy at the same time! I hope you enjoy it for him too!

Vincenzo gave a new meaning to the word 'obsession' for me, I know I can never move on from it.
