3 years of having this type of relationship and now Yoh is having issues, unless he had them before and just pushed it to the back of his mind. At year 1, I would expect the issues to brought up and communicated, which I'm sure Yoh doesn't seem to know how to bring it up (rocking the boat, causing confrontation, wants to preserve the honor of his senpai, walking on eggshells LOL) plus Mizuki is reserved with a Tsundere attitude LOL.
Maybe there's some misunderstanding about what the whole relationship is. From Yoh's POV it's a servitude contract but from Mizuki's POV maybe its the whole move-in, be with me, do as I say, I'll take care of you my nadeshiko wife/boyfriend like a weird way to ask someone to be in a relationship without fully stating what it is.
IDK just what I interpret from the first ep and trailer. Ep 1 might feel somewhat toxic the trailer makes it seem like there's more to this, so please keep watching LOL
When they are at the gay dance club and Jolin Tsai's Bravo Lover (remix?) song is playing.
There was a high school restroom bullying scene flashback that was cut from the Netflix version because I remember seeing it on a trailer clip for the movie earlier this year. I seem to have found a version of the clip not shown in Netflix...https://youtu.be/u_EB9BkGL-M
At the ambulance when Wu Ming Han said 'My Husband' to the question of whom was he talking to......loved it.
At the end, I'm sad we didn't a "我爱你" (wǒ ài nǐ ) But I guess actions are always better than words since Ming Han gained a doggy, granny, and father-in-law LOL
Why was this 2 hour long ago...it was funny in the beginning but it wasn't supposed to be so long. This wasn't…
It was quite a bit long. There was a scene in the middle that felt like that was an abrupt end but then it kept going. The story was good, just needed quite a bit of tightening and editing. Quite a few cop scenes that could have been edited shorter, tightening the ghost wedding, side plots.
I wrote a full review above (loved the movie!!!!!!) but wanted to include this note here: The English subtitles…
My subs had "gay guy" and not the slur. But it also had "Xiao Mao" as "Mao Jr." for what I'm guessing is American English. It's culturally and linguistically wrong. It should be "Little Mao".
No, but also yes. One of them is dead, and the other straight, so no. But yes in the sense that Ming Han accepts…
The movie was already super long but I wish they gave a little more background (could have a throwaway line or two, or quick flashback) on Ming Han. I felt like he lost his family and in the end gained one with a gay deceased husband. Also one of the other points was about Ming Han getting back into the police department, I guess we assume after he recuperates that he goes back to work at the station with a hero's welcome. We assume in the end gave up his crush on the Model Cop bad girl that was a double agent.
From the teaser trailer, it looks like use Seo Ji Won (서지원) - Gather My Tears (내 눈물 모아) as the Korean version of Taiwan series' song Last Dance by Wu Bai & China Blue. Seo Ji Won's song is good and at at 1 min to 1 min 32 seconds it almost hits like the Taiwanese song but it lacks that extra punch in sound that Last Dance has. I know there are not a lot of songs to choose from dating back to 1998, from what I saw on wiki of songs from 1998 LOL
GY (Ki Yoon) crying looked so fake like he was fake crying for pity. Either the actor is amateur at emotional crying scenes or the character is meant to act like that. I was seriously confused LOL Also young baby daughter needed a mother? Seriously? Jacklyn is the best mom choice for her? She doesn't seem to care for her at all.
not people comparing this to sbs , i just started ep 1 i loved it and now i feel wary ? please dont be like sbs…
I hope we don't have time skips. I'm already reeling from so many dramas that have used time skips to fix the writers' f*ckups and they still end up sh*te.
what the hell is choi jun doing seducing someone when he has a WHOLE FIANCÉE... hes so sleazy
Don't tell me it's an arranged marriage. Like in 2023, arranged business marriages are so 1800s. Companies can partner and collaborate, why does X from company A need to marry Y from company B?!
Daddy Jun has to go to war with two guys now for Baby Jun. Damn. This is going to be fun. 😂
Which is funny because his mentor/sunbae at the office, should have said he had feelings long ago. Same goes for Idol Sunbae. I know it's a trope but seriously LOL
Finance or not. I am more concerned about how cringe the "seducing" is. CJ could really do better. And the second…
It feels like scenes filmed or written were cut. Like either a budget issue or something. Like it feels like there should be more steps to get from point A (had a crush since being children) to full on sexy/lust/romance point B (adults). Like the whole Adult part needs to include steps of romancing unless these is going on the trope/stereotype of gay men being sexually active and straight to the point skipping necessary steps which seems like this Office Romance with childhood first loves? one sided first love? Also Office Romance is cute but I fully expect if they end up coming out as a CP in the office that those intern jerks will be more annoying about the whole Jun having connections and sexing the boss to get ahead kind of thing that people often face when an employee and a person in power romance. Then there's the issue of LJ either being gay/bi/curious/inexperienced/asexual/or whatever. There's a lot going on that we have to solve in the next 4 short episodes including LJ having 3 guys potentially after him.
