Super glad got to watch Zhang Jing Yi's latest drama on Netflix. First saw her in 'Fall In Love' - She was so gorgeous there and her voice is so soothing. I was mesmerized.
In BiA, she had the same gentle demeanor, mature beyond years, sensible and very perceptive characteristics.
I love this drama so very much! Super awesome, warm-hearted, rich and heavy with good messages :
~ To take on the ‘No guts no glory’ mindset in the face of adversity and to advance in life.
~ Be clear-minded and has a positive outlook in everything.
~ Having a great support systems and an excellent teamwork to accomplish targets.
~ The gravity to have integrity and uprightness, to stay true to one’s principles to ensure that justice is rightly served which is so lacking to find rather than the vast majority that is mostly preferred to be a hypocrite, unscrupulous, selfish and no conscience.
~ Be kind to others, for every kindness will be rewarded in an unexpected way. But if we lend a helping hand or do a good gesture, do it with utmost sincere without expecting anything in return.
~ There’s always a silver lining/blessing in disguise in every adversities…
With all these positive things, I look past on the lack of expressions of the ML. Besides I read comments saying that he's improving. Jiayou!
The actor who played the psychotic, paranoid king had also done an amazing job as a ruler in The Blue Whisper.
Congratulations to every person involved in this drama. Excellent Job people!
That’s all I can think so far, going to indulge myself with a second watch right away!
8.9? Wow.. rating is too high. Doe-eyed expressionless, emotionless FL. The chemistry between my 2 cats are much…
Ok I just found out that she WAS Wen Qing in the Untamed. She was great and super pretty in that drama. Her chemistry with Wei Wu Xian was burning hot before I learnt that it was actually a BL drama. It just that I felt something was off with her in Blossom. Did she do something with her face? Or did she lose weight so much? She needs to smile more too because she glows when she smiles haha...
found myself accidentally rewatching this again - mostly because I keep forgetting what its about (which says…
I thot I was the only one thinking the same thing. A man and a woman both in the same room every night and day but no slight desire for intimacy... if they were saints I can understand, but... hahaha...
Yes, the team behind this drama are certainly determined to make us suffer as we wait to see the last episode…
You said it. I had to stop half-way watching ep.9 and went scrub-cleaned my bathroom to dispel all the incoming premature cause of death i.e. stroke, heart-attack because I'm too emotionally invested in this drama
8.9? Wow.. rating is too high. Doe-eyed expressionless, emotionless FL. The chemistry between my 2 cats are much more convincing than the leads. Maybe because of the FL's doe-eyed, expressionless, emotionless acting.
I really have to say this. What the hell is wrong with the husband? So he selfishly persuaded and convinced her to marry him in the first place with the 'fly to the moon and the stars talk', like "Marry me and become the daughter-in-law of the magistrate. I WILL BECOME YOUR SAFE HAVEN, MY LADY."
Heh, so much for the 'safe haven' promises. She ended up sacrificed her life and happiness once she married him. I can only shake my head in disgust..
I bet the real Lady Ok Tae-Young will never want Gu Deok to live miserably like this. It's just Gu Deok simply being stubborn and stupid that makes my tooth ache.
And, this is also the screenwriter/director/producer doing to make me, the viewer, feeling miserable and heartbroken along with Gu Deok. I truly, madly, deeply hope that by the end of the series, she reunited with Cheon Seung for good.
At the beginning of the movie, the moment he smashed his head with the incense burner I was like oh man this is going to be a really bad news later... And I'm so worried when he keeps getting head injuries/trauma... then my guessing was proven right. A'Cheng, A'Cheng... my poor boy..
Well, to me feelings of both MLs for FL seemed like an obsession instead of something romantic. ML behaves like…
I second this! I watch this drama because it has so many good reviews and recommended by so many people but I guess it's just not my cup of tea.
Recently picked it up again after dropping it at Ep20, 5 months ago. Now at Ep49, may ditch it again after being so drained and mentally tired with the angst especially FL's cold shoulder attitude towards the SML. I felt so sorry for him, he's so obsessed and tried so hard to gain FL's love but only got rudely hurt, ignored and casted aside by the FL as if all his kind gestures and sacrifices meant nothing to her. If only he didn't refused/failed/blind to acknowledge the real gem that silently adores him and always stays besides him thru thick and thin - the kind and caring, sweet, poor girl Kuang Lu... But he is the sorriest character in this drama - dumped by everyone in his family when he overthrown his tyrant father, cheated, betrayed and dumped by his fiancee... and the list goes on...
So mad and not okay with ML's extreme brazen and daring behaviour in seducing and snatching his brother's fiancee. Also felt suffocated on FL's behalf with the forced love by those two guys. Perseverence is great but one also needs know the limit, when not to cross a line and when to let go.
And ah.. I no longer care about the FL after she slept with ML and chirped happily regarded it as consensual with no shame or remorse about it afterwards while still engaged with his brother!
Ep 3. Leads get marriedEp 12. ML takes his examineEp 13. Leads act like a couple (no confession, but it's apparent…
Thanks for this. Glad to have found this gem of series. Am only on Ep20 and already got so impatient to watch their scenes of love confessions / kisses (mouth to mouth blood transfusion in the desert doesn't count) aaannddd for them to consummate their marriage already! Because I'm too tired to wait for these scenes so I jumped to the last episode which I found the story ended so perfectly well done and heartwarming.
I love most Yun Sang and General Jingshi's love story but it is so very heartbreaking and most tragic.
A beautiful, intelligent and charismatic Shen Nong princess with a very gentle and calm character met a dashing, noble, high-position Gao XIng General who was also Sheng Lun's best friend and most trusted person...but it's a shame - not only their love story had an unfortunate, tragic ending, but it's also way too difficult and painful path for them to realise their love and dreams to be together.
I'm not really satisfied with the drama's depiction of their ending, so I tracked down the book to find out what exactly happen to them.
They both died.
Jingshi was killed in the battle and at the same time, Yun Sang used all of her spiritual powers creating flames and burned herself to death. What a horrible way to die to be with the love one in the afterlife.
Chin Yun and A'Mo's love is a curse. It sets a horrible chain of events that destroyed so many lives, so many hearts especially himself, A'Mo, Sheng Lun and lots of other people. Their daughter, Xiao Yao, suffered a lot carrying the sins of her parents but thankfully after so many turbulences in her life, she finally dodge the bullet of the horrible fate of her parents and live a happy life with her beloved - Jing.
So sad to learn that Cang Xuan's dad (Zhiruo/fourth brother) might still be alive if either Sheng Lun or Chi Yun willing to send out aide for him. Sure it's a big risk to deploy their troops to help but Sheng Lun has promised Yuchen to look after his siblings if he died first and Zhiruo was Sheng Lun's brother in-law afterall. Besides, he married Xuan Ying Ruo for the inscrutable benefits, mainly to establish political alliances between the 2 kingdoms. Morally speaking, this is the right moment to claim/repay the so-called benefit.
But Sheng Lun was too obsessed and selfish just for the sake of his power and throne. Also being surrounded and advised by the ruthless, power hunger ministers and generals - alas, sealing Zhiruo and his army into a dreadful, tragic fate.
Later he realized it was a terrible mistake, regretted it and this event was one of his deepest misery tormenting him for the rest of his life.
Chi Yun's should have taken prompt action towards Tong Zheng earlier once learned that he was up for a mutiny. Tong Zheng was very dangerous, scheming and cunning and now shamelessly imposing an act of rebellion towards Xuamu Kingdom - with this treacherous scheme, Chi Yun can actually bypass his promise to Yun Sang not to kill him.
I don't hate Chi Yun. He was indeed the most greatest and fearless warrior, brilliant strategist, loyal to the bone person but in certain things, he was a bad decision-maker!
In BiA, she had the same gentle demeanor, mature beyond years, sensible and very perceptive characteristics.
