really disappointed with casting and the era change, i get that this is a kdrama so they cant do a european setting but they could have done a setting like princess hours at least that would have made more sense than.. whatever this is

like lets get the facts right - he did NOT cheat on his ex, his ex trying to commit has nothing to do with him in the first place and he actually did take care of her afterwards - its NOT okay to lie about this to ur mf wife, but i understand why he might have found it difficult to do so - he and his sister DID steal info about women and sold it to men which is definitely a crime and why the police were involved in the end - although we did not see the fl revealing this info i am guessing she did during the live - he WAS a manipulative lil ass to his wife, constantly gaslighting and abusing her; the fake break in and his consequential actions are actually illegal and another reason for police to be involved - i think, in his own sick way, he did love her which is sad since he's also sick and needed treatment imo
after some thought, and laying out everything like this, i do think he deserved that big reveal and probably consequential arrest. he was a manipulative mf to the ENDDD like he literally tried to kill the fl at the end there and yall r just lettin it fly over ur head because fan zhi xin is hot af

this does NOT deserve the rating it has. this has to be the most frustrating drama i have seen in a while. the female leads acting was horrible, not to mention her character who was a train wreck of an idiot, ignorant of the ml's actions/feelings, and all her friends are basically like carbon copies of her. they literally bully the ml when he is the only literal good character in the drama (aside from yuyi) also the actress has 0 chemistry with the ml, poor wenjun was wasted in this drama. the side couple with the female doctor and college student is far more interesting than any of the couples. also her backstory does NOT track lmao

I mean sure, she does develop a psychological relationship with her captor, but it's not because she's afraid of him or thinks he'll kill her if she won't. I watched the original too and I was skeptical of this adaptation at first, but the plot does differ after the first 2-3 episodes. In fact I think this is really different from the original so you should give it another try!
