I think they wanted to convey this message that they are the power couple who can overcome any obstacles in their lives together , i cannot make any other sense of their ending otherwise

But keeping other complaints aside, this drama did do justice to us in terms of fan service. We got a lot of romantic scenes more than we would expect. The romance was perfect as well. The rewatch value is 100/10 , ill rewatch it just for their romantic scenes may be a 1000 times. Lu zhuo and wei rao the best and the most ideal couple i have ever seen

When a drama is this perfect we should hv expected this that they would mess up the ending. I think the team tried to go for something different taking the road not taken.
Viewers would have been more happy with liu shuo being alive and wei rao guiding him , her getting the grand princess title and showing us weirao getting pregnant, lu zhuos reaction and them having the baby and spending time with their baby. This is what every fan craves for

Exactly having xie hualou pregnant was a wiser option, considering how she is on good terms with wei rao and she has good backing moreover liu shuo loves xie hualou, so all in all that was a wiser plot

Im craving for a modern drama of yanan and xiwei i can never ever not be obsessed with their insane chemistry and i dont think my obsession will ever come down.
