I think that Pued was the brother who gave him a little attention, so despite his wrongdoing Tan was angry for sure, but he still was his brother. And I think there are more story about th we don't know. I didn't see things like u. For me Tan since rhe beginning wasn't really eager to find who kill the girl since his bro (pued) already told him to not get involve in it. What make him involve in the story was Bunn. At first his job was to make Bunn quit investigating but he fail, then he bring him at his house to keep an eye on him. But he had already some feeling for him and the proximity deepens those feeling. Knowing that it was a dangerous case he simply switch his mode to a protective mode.
