Title Dew the Movie Spoiler
Spoiler Alert!

I knew I would cry. I just did not like the way it ended. The beginning is just what I expected but not as the story progressed. I also felt a disconnect with how the main character evolved and the characters around him. There are not so important characters in my opinion, like the main friend which I am expecting something would come out but none at all, and characters that are not fully justified like Orn, Phob's wife. Her pain towards the situation that arised was I think not felt and her reactions were unrealistic for a wife in the situation that she’s in. The story would go forth even when there is no wife character for the main one. Maybe just a girlfriend will do. Phob's family members too were not properly described or defined and their being not in the movie won't really affect the story. Except the parents of course and maybe a sister and a brother and grandparents that are needed to be shown as basic Chinese family members. The transition from then to the present day is kind of confusing too. You don't know who is who on the dining table on the present day. But the reincarnation of the boy Dew to a female Liu is the ultimate disappointment for me. The reincarnation is fine though as the magical element of love but they should just have gotten another male character to be the reincarnated Dew. They mentioned that they do not consider this as another mainstream gay movie but it has all the element of one and they should have just dwelt on that more until the ending and somehow made it a bit of a happy ever after. We are tired of sad endings for stories like this. I'm sure I share the same sentiments with a lot of fans out there. The actors playing the parts are all good though especially the actor “Weir” who played the adult Phob and the actress “Um” who played Dew’s mother, her face and voice always gets me during dramatic scenes. But the revelation actually is not “Ohm's” Dew character but “Sadanon's” Phob. His close ups were all good, his acting just right and you would definitley be wanting more of him. They have done a great job with the shots and location. They were able to bring back the 90’s vibe with the fashion, music, posters and gadgets like the pager/beeper. It totally got me right there, it brought back memories of my younger days. Not a bad movie at all. 3 stars or 4 just because it is a comeback movie for Love of Siam director Chookiat Sakveerakul. #Dew #DewTheMovie #DewTheMovie2019 #WeirSukollawat #OhmPawat #CJMajor #Vixmmnnt #ChookiatSakveerakul
