I couldn't shake off the thoughts that Go Ho Jung looks like Im Siwan in general, Lee Jae Bin reminded me of Kim Woobin in School 2013 and Kim Seong Hyuk really gave off Kim Bum vibes (especially like in the Tale of the Nine Tailed), just google them, they are all so alike! Besides that... I had no expectations for this drama, but I was nicely surprised by it. It just made me smile and it gave off a warm feeling. The actors did a great job! Even though it is evident that the drama has a low budget, it was shot beautifully, much effort was put into it. A very stable 7/10 from me.
I really tried to like this, but.... it was TERRIBLE and BORING. I could barely finish it. Leo was used for his popularity and I've been following VIXX since their debut, so I was well aware of the fact that we won't see any acting from him, he was pretty much what he usually is like - a beautiful face with a honey voice, barely any emotions and cold attitude. Ha Jong Woo did a nice job at being a happy puppy, but that was it. The story didn't grab me at all, everything was so dramatic for no reason and nothing was clear, they wanted us to connect the dots all the time. This drama is a total waste of time, so I don't recommend it at all. I can't give it more than 5/10, but even that feels like too much.
I was excited about this drama, but I somehow couldn't get into it... I liked the acting, the ost, the filming locations and definitely the idea, but something just didn't click for me. Not many people get to say a proper goodbye to their loved ones before they die, so I understand why people love the series so much, I wish I didn't feel like something as a whole was missing, but I do. I absolutely don't regret watching it though and even people who aren't interested in BL, should see it.
I can't believe it's been 2 years since the drama came out, when it comes to Japanese BLs, nothing can top it to this day for me. So obviously, the movie wasn't as good as the series, but it doesn't have to be. It had more serious and dramatic vibes, since the the magic, goofiness and fluffiness weren't the main aspects like in thedrama. Adachi is still Kurosawa's whole world and that's what matters. I liked the second half of the movie more and I think the series were wrapped up nicely, so if you loved the drama as much as I did, I believe you should still watch this movie, it's not a disappointment, just... don't compare it to the drama. :)
This drama was... such a huge disappointment, maybe it's my fault for having high expectations. I always waited for something to happen and yet... I thought there would be more thriller, more mystery, while instead we ran in circles, I totally lost interest and it took me 2 months to finish it. The way all the drama and issues were handled towards the end was just beyond terrible. I felt like I had skipped an episode or something and the "movie" thing... wow, why in the world...? The actors had nice chemistry and I really liked how Khaotung presented his character, he showed a very different persona than the one in A Tale of Thousand Stars. All in all, there was no build up, whoever had to come up with the plot, didn't do their job properly. A hopeful 6,5/10 from me just because of the potential this had, the acting, filming locations (outside of the school) and the ost.
I guess this drama was just... unlucky and it was made and aired at the wrong time. Considering that it was aired almost 7 years ago, but I watched it just now, I get why it got so much hype back then and even though it got banned and the actors had difficulties after that, it surely paved the way for many more BLs to come. I really liked the chemistry between the mains, they seemed very comfortable with each other, which made things work and I enjoyed the transition from enemies to friends, but not the transition from friends to lovers. It felt forced and that SA scene was so uncalled for. I also didn't understand anything about You Qi's hostile behaviour towards Yang Meng. For supporting characters close to the mains, I thought they would play a bigger part in the drama. I don't think my opinion about the series would be much different if it had been aired completely, I'm not fond of unfinished things, but oh well... As a whole, the drama has its pluses and its minuses, so a 6,5/10 from me ~
The drama lacks in many aspects, but I'm a sucker for time travelling. The OST was amazing and so were the actors, especially Moon Ji Yong, but the supporting actors (as well as the ones not listed here - like the child) did a nice job as well. I liked the chemistry between the mains and there are some things, which I find annoying when it comes to the crime case itself, but I still enjoyed this drama, it was easy and enjoyable to watch. A steady 7/10 from me.
I didn't like this drama, it made me feel uncomfortable and it was cringy. The leads and very acting was far from good and the story itself goes in circles. The first episode was just terrible... a confession and a break-up scene just a few minutes apart? Come on. The only thing that saved the drama was Suzuku Kosuke. I can't give this more than 5/10.
The drama and the charaters are... ridiculous, but I still enjoyed it. If you've never seen anything from Japan, the humor and the acting might not suit your taste. But the actors did a really good job. From the mains, I liked Matsuoka more and from the supporting cast... props to Yahagi Honoka and Kaji Masaki, they were great. Japan's short BLs just prove that they can be wholesome even without a kiss scene or much skinship, it's not always needed. I had no expectations when I walked into this, but I was nicely surprised by it.
The drama is definitely an upgrade if we compare it to Kissable Lips, but their acting is still a bit awkward and the whole concept is too unbelievable. Too much time was spent on them being enemies and things were rushed in the last 2 episodes. When it comes to short BL series, Japan is doing better in the area. Here... I can't rate this higher than 6, but even that feels like too much.
The actors had a nice chemistry, but sometimes they acted a way too childish and gosh... those shameless ads, it's been a while, since I've seen so much focus on them. I like the idea of the drama itself - to fall in love not with the visual, but with the soul. However, I think too much time was spent on making the movies and less on actual bonding and the parallel universes & I really wish there was a bit more about Tess/Tun, just some clarifications about their relationship and situation's they've been in. I can't say it's a waste of time, but it's nothing exceptional either. A 6,5/10 from me ~
First of all, if someone is looking for a similar drama, there are many about serial murders or connection between past-present, but I recommend Tunnel, which involves actual time-traveling and murders and is the most alike to this one. I'm glad I didn't look at the tags here before starting the drama, because the "hallucination" one is kind of spoiler, because until the last few episodes I wondered if Tae Joo isn't somehow really in 1988. As a whole, I enjoyed the drama, though some things were somehow slow for me. But I really liked the chemistry between the main cast, I know Taejoo's personality isn't the most lively one, but the actor was still a bit stiff for me. Go Ahsung and Park Sungwoong definitely outshined Jung Kyunho. The comedy elements were also very nicely done and the thriller part was good too. I love the vibe of the 80s/90s, so the setting was a huge plus as well. But I just feel like some things are missing, maybe even more background information about the brothers or a bit of Taejoo's "new life". The drama really shows how some people are just born in the wrong generation and would feel much more comfortable with another timeline, but oh well... in real life we can't make such choices xD Overall, an 8/10 for me ~
I read a lot of negative comments, but the drama just left me feeling... warm in general. It had a vibe that had a calming effect on me. It actually sticks pretty close to the manga, so it's a really good adaptation and it's a very "Japanese drama" in its unique way, that's why it might not be everyone's cup of tea. Akira's behaviour really could be considered annoying and not suitable for his age, but Shin being immature, impulsve and impatient is super child-like and he still is, so he acts like one. I did enjoy the acting, especially from Nishigaki Sho! The supporting characters were a nice touch as well. & gosh... I don't know the name of the filming location, but this city was just amazing! A 7,5/10 from me ~
Firstly, I checked out the 2020 version and yeah... that was terrible. So at the start of this drama I had really high hopes, because the first 3-4 episodes were very promising and I thought I would rate it at least 8/10. BUT... IN CIRCLES WE GO. I think this describes the drama the best. At a certain point, I felt like I was watching the same thing over and over again... they could've easily cut down on the number of episodes to avoid so much repetitive drama. There were some ridiculous scenes and moments that I just want to forget and yeah, the relationship is toxic, but sadly, in real life, there are many people who give more than two chances. I will still give this 7/10, only because of the acting! Yin and War did an amazing job, especially War, he knows how to break hearts. The drama has its ups and downs and I got kind of bored towards the end, but I'm still going to miss it in a way. I hope Yin and War get to do another project together in which... they won't cause each other so much pain. xD
Honestly.... this was nothing special when it comes to the plot. The cast was great though, so they made it work. The music was good as well, but the first half of the drama was a bit too slow for me. Watching this is a nice way to pass some time, but I can't rate it higher than 6,5/10 ~
I became interested in this movie, because I saw it was the only other project from Moon Jiwon and because I like Woosung. It was a bit too slow for me at first and it was quite predictable, but just like with Extraordinary Attorney Woo - it was special, because of the autism aspect. Hyunggi did a wonderful job and the meaning of the movie is nice too - never go too far and forgot who you are. Of course, in life we all have to make difficult choices, sometimes unthinkable ones. Overall, a good movie, 7,5/10 from me
Honestly... I didn't enjoy this a lot. The drama had a promising start, but the cliches took over a way too much at some point. Also, the way the main couple got together didn't flow very well, it wasn't natural. I actually enjoyed the supporting couple's story more. The last few episodes were... terrible, way too much drama, they could've wrapped up the series with 10 episodes and avoid all that, but oh well... I can't give this more than 6/10, but even that feels like too much.
I get the hype around the drama, but it is definitely overrated. Park Eunbin did an extraordinary job for sure though! I did enjoy the acting from everyone, but the drama went a little downhill from episode 10 onwards from me. In general, there were some law cases that didn't grab me a lot, I know every case was meant to teach Youngwoo something and make her grow, but still... There are lots of things I wish we had seen, but they never happened. The announcement for a season 2 was their last call to save things, but they could've wrapped up this season (and the drama in general) nicely if the drama had 2-4 episodes more. Do we need another season? I guess time will show, I just hope they will keep up with the good work. I'll give this a 8,5/10 mainly because of the acting, because some things from the storyline were unnecessary and were there just to add more drama. & gosh... I don't know if it's just me, but it's really stupid to see a bar/restaurant created just so some of the leads could spend time there and there are no other clients. The same thing happened in Shooting Stars and come on... if you have only 1-3 customers... can you make a living?
Besides that... I had no expectations for this drama, but I was nicely surprised by it.
It just made me smile and it gave off a warm feeling. The actors did a great job!
