I HAVE NEVER CRIED WITH A DRAMA UNTIL NOW!!
This is the most melodramatic drama I’ve ever watched. Don’t understand why the ratings are not higher. I just ached with Chengxu. The pain and regret he had his whole life was heartbreaking. And his tears, my goodness. Every time he cried you could feel his agony.I also liked Helan Mingyu’s role. Although at first I felt for her as the drama went on she hardened her heart for the sake of responsibility. All the while Chengxu was waiting and hoping. But, this drama tries to prove that you can’t mess with fate because it’ll bite you right back! I heard there is a longer version in the Asian countries. Would like to watch it if I could.
Overall, great acting from everybody!

Great Potential but Sorry.
This drama had all the makings of a stellar drama. Good actors, great production, and a great idea for a drama. Sadly, the 2nd male lead overtook the male lead and he could give you such a nasty look, that it would stop you dead in your tracks. Normally, I love both actors but if you’re going to be a male lead then you should be written as one. I felt the FL wasn’t one. She got thrown to the curb while all the men in the family dealt with their own issues with each other.Loved the sister. She added a bit of comic relief. Poor Jin Fan. But you love who you love. He had no choice from the start.
Did not appreciate the ending at all. If a person invests so much time in a drama trying to read fast subtitles and having to rewind them just to really read each word, it should be better than this.
Would not watch again. once was enough.
