I never said you couldn’t have your opinion. What I said and what you selective left out in your victim tale is I said to private message those comments so people like me do not have to scroll through 50 of your nonsensical BS to get to the comments which is about the series itself. I even said, I don’t care if you shit on the show, love it or are indifferent to it. People like GoodRick are just hypocritical dipshits in the comment section. To quote this idiot, "I'm not here to argue, and I'm not here to shove my opinion down people's throats." Isn't this exactly what this jerk is doing by claiming, "Peeps, this is not, I repeat, NOT a BL," when others are expressing their opinions that they think it's a BL? This hypocrite has the nerve to say, "I'm just here to exercise my right to free speech and express my opinion that this is not a BL," as if people who are giving theirs do not have the same right to exercise their opinions too. BL is about boys' love, a made-up genre created by women for women that wasn't meant for gay representation but a wishful fantasy version of how women view two boys falling for each other. It isn't about being gay. It's why, if you look at earlier BLs, sexual orientation isn't mentioned in being straight or gay. This is why there is always a girl he likes shown to highlight that the boy is only interested in her and only her, in the same way the boy is interested in the boy and only that boy. It's about self-discovery, when a boy realizes he is in love with another boy. There isn't any mention of him being gay because in BL, everyone is operating on being sexually neutral to gender or what is closely considered bisexual. Love doesn't have a gender, kind of a thing. The MC is usually shown to like a girl and then switch to liking a boy without thought or reason, as you do when you're young. Hence why BLs are shown primarily in school settings. The way the boy will say, "I like him and only him." It is pretty much the same way it shows the boy liking a girl and only her. It's why he is shown often concocting schemes to get the prized girl. It's only her, like it's only him.

What you see in BLs now is heavily inordinate with gay boys/men wanting to make BLs into gay dramas. It is what men do in anything that is created by women, they will put their spin into a make-believe genre for women into what they want it to be because that's what men like to do in women's spaces. Spray all over it to mark their territory. Gay men have turned BLs into gay dramas because they want realistic gay representation, which isn't what BL was created to be, much in the way fairytales with Prince Charming isn't real. But give it to men to make everything about them. Doesn't matter if men are straight or gay, men will ALWAYS change things to suit them. What GoodRick wants is to remake BLs into gay dramas.

I'm sick and tired of argumentative a-holes who come into the comment section not to give constructive criticism of the series, but want to make BL a social commentary of their own personal drama and trauma. It really is ruining the BL comment section for those of us who used to come here to get different POVs about the series itself to decide if it is worth watching or not. Nowadays, you get too many trolls like GoodRick or adramalover who are just in the comment section to troll people and argue with them because they have different opinions about a series. They have a superiority complex about their unsolicited opinion being more important or valuable than it is. Often, these a-holes will try to gaslight or invalidate other people's opinions while saying, "I'm just giving my opinion," and other niceties like “I respect your opinions”, after they give 20 reasons why you are wrong in your opinion. It's just so frustrating to have to scroll through 50 plus of these kinds of shitty comments to get to the useful ones that can help me get a feel for the series.

I'm not sure if these kinds of comments are worse than the schoolgirls who have too much time on their hands and like to be keyboard saviors for the LGBTQIA+ communities with shit they know nothing about. Especially when straight women and schoolgirls are telling gay men to STFU, thinking they are allies or their CIS straight women social norms are applicable to gay men.

For fuck's sake, you can private message these arguments that have nothing to do with a series and spare us the agony of having to waste our time reading through and filtering out your stupid comments. I want the old days of the comment section when people actually gave reviews about the actual series they are watching and not the fucking BS that has nothing to do with the series. I'm open to you shitting on a series, but just tell me why as it pertains to the series. I'm fine with you loving the series to bits or just being indifferent about it, but let me know why so I can make an informed decision as to whether I should watch the series or not. I’m all for different opinions here since most people like me come here to get different POV of series to decide for ourselves whether a series is worth watching or not. However, the cesspool people make the comment section to be is really sad compared to the old days.
Mame haters are the most hypocritical bunch of whiny crybabies in the comment section. It's your entire personality on Mame series. Every single hater seems to know this is a Mame-written series, something most BL fans do not know about until you clowns tell us. The usual posse of clowns still manages to watch the series week after week to dissect everything and find fault with her series, yet they do not seem to have the same issue with other series.
As an adult, I have chosen not to watch TharnType, SOTUS, and other BLs that aren't my cup of tea. Not sure why haters of Mame can't do the same. Are you just a bunch of dummies who have no willpower to not watch a series from someone you say you do not like? Or is your entire persona on MDL to have diarrhea of the mouth to seek validation for being ticked off about Mame?
I don't get why haters of her series don't just drop it if it’s not your cup of tea. Oh wait, you stick around because you know Mame will always serve up the steamy sex scenes. Most Mame antis are schoolgirls and regressive adults who can't separate fiction from reality. If you only knew that the fiction Mame writes is pretty tame stuff when you know what's out there in erotic and BDSM literature, I swear the haters come across as nothing but frustrated schoolgirls who are trying to hide your shame of having a sexual kink to watching two boys kiss and have sex in a BL, by being keyboard saviors of SA and rape, even if the series doesn't have it.
Don't get me started on consent policing, because nobody who has had sex ever needed that much consent to get it on.

I came into this series only because I'll watch anything Gawin is in. I'm indifferent to Krist, as I've never watched SOTUS and never will. If you're skipping this because of Krist, it's your loss, not Krist's. I mean, I hated Kawi at the beginning, and the little bugger snuck his way into my heart in the end. Krist did an admirable performance in this. Yes, the sex scenes were awkward AF, but whatever, this can be a combination of GMMTV pandering to schoolgirls because it is a school BL after all, or it's just that Krist is not comfortable doing these kinds of scenes.

Kawi had a lot of self-development. Piseng is just a sweetheart. Max is the MVP of this series. Pearmai isn't a stupid trope. Kwan got her redeeming arc. Not is so not it. The parents were flawed people. Overall, the acting was good. Everything made sense. If you're not sure about how the crystal ball works, the answer is the starting point is when you first turned it. You activate it the second time when you wish to go back. Each time you go back and forth is when you turned it last in the past or future. Look closely at when Kawi is in each time. Also, it is clearer when Piseng uses it.

I see some people disagreeing whether this has the curse of episode 11 or not. It didn't because it didn't have any breakup or random misunderstanding nonsense. But it was just a cliffhanger as with any good series to have you vested to come back for the ending.

The ending was near perfect until fucking Not showed up. If you like a good series with a good story and mostly good acting to binge on, this is it.

Typically, I do not like school BL because it panders to schoolgirls and childlike adults who like fluffy nonsense full of magical unicorns and rainbows and tropes in favor of good acting and good storytelling. However, there are exceptions like "Be My Favorite," which has really fleshed out characters and the storyline makes sense.

If you're a Krist hater, then skip it. There are plenty of other series to explore. Or you can be a clown and waste your time trolling here to find Krist stans to waste your time with. You're in good company.

Do people know what the curse of episode 11 is? The conflicting opinions are baffling to me. As I understand it, the curse of episode 11 is a gag among fans of Thai BL series, referring to the tendency for many of these series to have a major conflict or setback in the eleventh episode. Although it can be frustrating to see favorite couples break up, there is usually some misunderstanding or kept secret involved, leading to fans feeling angsty. Episode 12 is then rushed with a half-ass resolution, leaving fans disappointed and dissatisfied. That is the curse of episode 11 as I understand it.

Several Thai BL series have experienced major conflicts or setbacks in episode 11:

Sotus the Series: Arthit and Kongpob break up after Arthit discovers Kongpob's lies.
Love by Chance: Pete and Ae break up after Pete finds out about Ae's infidelity.
TharnType the Series: Tharn and Type have a huge fight after Tharn's ex-boyfriend appears.
Why R U?: Zon and Saifah break up after Zon learns about Saifah's lies about his past.
Bad Buddy the Series: Pran and Pat have a serious fight after Pat discovers Pran's deception about his feelings.
However, in this particular series, there wasn't a cursed episode 11 because Piseng had left Kawi at the beginning of episode 8, and Piseng broke up with Kawi's toxic behavior for good with a Dear John postcard.

Episode 11 of this series gave BL fans a lot of what they asked for. It provided many feel-good moments, from parents having heart-to-heart conversations about their adult kids leading their own lives to Not not having a redemption arc and Kwan deleting Not from her life. Pear married James and moved on with her life, not tied a relationship or marriage to Piseng, Kawi, or Not. The fluffy graduation montage and Kawi moving in with Piseng were also featured, and there were plenty of fluffy moments of Piseng and Kawi's long-term relationship. The episode ended with a cliffhanger, leaving fans curious about the outcome in the next episode, as a good cliffhanger should in a penultimate episode.

So, am I wrong to say that people misunderstand the curse of episode 11 and what is a cliffhanger? If you have a different understanding, please share it, so I'm not so confused about the conflicting opinions about the curse of episode 11 of this series.

I must confess that Dunk's acting has never appealed to me, and unfortunately, "Hidden Agenda" did nothing to change my mind. As a PondPhuwin fan, I wanted to give Dunk a fair chance, considering his friendship with Pond. However, the series only reinforced my belief that Dunk is not suited for acting. It didn’t help that this is another cliché school BL full of annoying tropes. The fact that he and Joong play similar roles as in "Star In My Mind" and "Our Skyy 2: SIMM" further added to the disappointment. Joong playing a cool guy, while Dunk played a dorky one felt like a repetitive and uninspired choice.

The lack of versatility in Dunk's acting was evident, and it became apparent that he was merely playing a version of himself. This was particularly evident when observing their real-life dynamics, as Dunk's childish nature made him appear younger than Joong. Can’t help but compare him to BrightWin, who are good-looking spokesmodels with limited acting skills too. Dunk's shortcomings in acting were even more apparent, making Joong's shine in comparison.

The storyline of a nerdy guy trying to win the heart of a pretty crush is cliché, and we have seen it in series like "Fish Upon the Sky" and "Be My Favorite." However, unlike those shows, "Hidden Agenda" failed to provide a compelling backstory for why Zo likes Nita, other than her looks. This made the plot feel shallow and lacking substance. The use of tired clichés like accidental tripping into each other's arms and prolonged stares for building chemistry only added to the disappointment. The potential for a good story was there, but it was poorly executed and acted, leaving much to be desired.

The editing and pacing of the series were also subpar, making me stop after episode 3 to decide whether to put this on hold to binge or drop JoongDunk series altogether. While some scenes, such as Zo reading to Joke, then Nita, attempted to portray Zo's realization of his feelings, they fell short due to poor execution. It had the be verbalized by Zo to make it clear.

Even though there was talk of chemistry between Joong and Dunk, I failed to see it. Their interactions felt forced, resembling two awkward friends attempting to play-act their ship work int the series rather than being in characters. Dunk's goofy and immature demeanor contrasted starkly with Joong's stoic and mature disposition, making it hard to believe they aren’t just being themselves in the series rather than being Joke and Zo. I need actors to be in character where I don’t see them in their roles. However, I only see Joong and Dunk in all their roles.

Even the side characters failed to captivate my interest, despite having Aou, whom I adore from "Be My Favorite." The likes of Boom, Louise, and AJ felt lackluster, and I found it challenging to care about their side couples or pairings. The series missed the opportunity to create engaging and intriguing side stories, leaving much to be desired in terms of character development for the side characters.

This series caters to the schoolgirl and adolescent adult BL fans who enjoy the enchanting world of magical unicorns and rainbows, embracing the magical feeling of fluff over other elements like acting and storytelling. For those who prioritize the whimsical and charming aspects, this series will undoubtedly be a delightful treat that perfectly aligns with your tastes.

In conclusion, "Hidden Agenda" had the potential to be a good series, but it fell short in multiple aspects, from acting to storytelling and character chemistry. While I admire Joong's acting skills, it might be time for him to explore different acting partnerships to truly grow as an actor. As for Dunk, his limitations as an actor were evident, making it hard to connect with his characters. I couldn’t see him separate from his characters. The series left me disappointed, as it failed to deliver the good BL series I had hoped for.
