Where did I talk about actors or real life? I talk about fictional characters, in a fictional series. Hence why I used the names of the characters not the actors. I don't care what the actors do in their private lives or with who they are close or not, that's not my concern as a fan.
Also if me shipping a fictional ghostship for fun ruins a series for you that's a bit concerning. It's not that deep.
KentaKim stole the show and that even with barely any scenes! They really deserve better than being pushed aside. There was good chemistry and it made me feel something.
PeteChris on the other hand... it feels like they were looking for a way they could still market PingNut despite Nut's character dying. But now it feels just dishonest as if every guy that looks like Way will do, even if the personality is completely different. I can't see any real feelings there, just physical attraction and while that's fine I don't get emotionally invested in that.
I don't watch the series for the pair(s) though, but for the concept and plot. Which is still pretty fresh but the writing is lacking towards the end especially. It feels like too much is happening to really tie all the ends together in a satisfying and non rushed way now. I still hope they manage it though because the series has some good points
This feels like they've tried to make a cash grab because the original was pretty popular. Turns out it's not enough to get a popular story and some good looking actors when you can't give the story proper care and attention and therefore strip it off of all the important elements that made it popular in the first place. The connection with and between the characters needs time as they are complex. It's so rushed that the series tells me these men are close but I can't feel that at all. They still feel like strangers. I'm sure they've tried their best and I've seen series that were worse but this isn't good at all, even if you don't compare it to the thai version. It's rushed and soulless.
the arashi rei storyline was fine but I'm entirely disappointed with the fuma kai story. Fuma has little to no charme to make up for his unlikeable attitude. He also doesn't convince me that he's really obsessed with Kai at all. I know it’s probably because the ep's are short but the scenes portraying kai's ex relationship felt like a mere summary of events. As a viewer I couldn't feel or understand why Kai was trapped in this unhealthy relationship and so clingy with someone that betrayed and hurt him this badly. And to me this sadly took a lot of the depth of the story. I will watch the rest and give it a chance to surprise me but at this point I'm not happy with the drama.
I expected nothing much and was still disappointed. Feels like this series don't know which direction they want to go and so none feels right. The serious parts don't make me feel with the characters and what's supposed to be funny is cringy at best. It's so slow nothing even happened yet and that makes it boring.
I didn't like how they presented serious trauma and then made fun of it by letting P'uno fight robot toy dogs with a pillow or freaking out from touching a plush animal.
Most of the actors are not bad but with a script like this no one can save this series.

Yes unforgotten night had a throuple but it was only like one scene or so with some characterless bodyguards. Which was nice but yeah I'm ready for a more fleshed out one 😅 But if I had to choose for a couple I would prefer Seiji and Ken too!
Am I the only one who hopes in the end it won't be a love triangle between Seiji, Ken and Japan (hope I got their names right, I still struggle with remembering them) but ends up in a throuple? 🙈 We never really got one before and I think they have chemistry with each other.
The finale was very underwhelming. So many important plot points feel rushed, while they spend a lot of time on other things. Like yeah the couples, their life and struggles are cool but I felt like the whole Zouey story about his past with Jason Lee and Nant was just totally rushed. Like it wasn't that important, when it clearly is. Idk if that's one of the reasons Zoueys actions considering Nant don't really make sense to me. It's not the first time the plot needed more focus and more explanations and got none. That often makes it hard to understand the characters. I know we aren't here for the (lost) plot anyway, but yeah the focus on important scenes was often lacking.
That said I need more answers but I don't know if I should hope for a second season or not. I've never seen a second season in bl that wasn't utterly disappointing but with a plot that isn't just focused on romance it could work! I'm not sure if the fandom is big enough though, to make a second season profitable. But maybe we make it up by being so dedicated and loyal.

Thursdays will never be the same after playboyy ends! This messy chaos is the highlight of my week! I think what made this series so entertaining is that it's not predictable, like many other series. It always keeps you on your toes for the next insane turn of events. That's exciting.

nooo that was such a let down! I was fully prepared for some sexy time and then this man talks about freakin chicken noodles! We clearly got different priorities! If I had a cutie like Puen right in front of me I would eat him first!
I cried for half an hour straight after the last ep! I really felt for all the characters and I'm impressed by the actors. Especially Pavel. I follow him for a long time now and I feel like with Pit babe he could really shine and show his skills. He made me feel with Babe. He's incredibly good at portraying emotions in his eyes. Especially his emotional scenes were heartbreakingly good!
I really only started watching for him at first and I was a bit weary about the omegaverse stuff, since it isn't my cup of tea. But I fell for the characters and story so fast! I think they made it well so it's not too overwhelming for people who are not very familiar with the concept. And I appreciate it that we get to see more diverse genres in bl!

Way... he's so grey his second name should be gandalf. He can't be put into the good or the bad box because he did horrible things and yet was manipulated from a young age to follow the wrong paths. He is very human and has both sides in him, light and dark. That's why he's one of the most interesting characters to me. Nut did an awesome job! I hope we get to see him play more complex characters like this, he sure has the skill for it!
The main pair is not really my ideal pair BUT that's just my personal taste and I still liked that Charlie, despite being the smaller and more delicate looking and often being presented as more cheerful and cute, isn't fragile or passive at all. It felt more like both are equal partners and I really think that's awesome! Still I didn't feel the chemistry between them for most parts. I think Pavel outshined Pooh, which is expected with his experience. Pooh needs some more experience to portray emotions more clearly with expressions. But he still did well for his first series!
The sidepair(s?) were really cute and interesting. SonicNorth need another project together and more screentime pls. Michael is an awesome actor and I love to see him.
The plot for sure had some holes here and there and some things should've been more fleshed out while others were dragged for too long. But it was entertaining and made me look forward every week and that's what's most important to me, more than the perfect script.

Listen I didn't really care about the JumpPorsche ship but that kiss made me feel something. It's been made so obvious that Jump is yearning for this gentle affection, skinship outside of sex, after the scene with our fallen journalist. He literally asked him for it and got pretty much nothing, while Porsche showed him real affection after apologizing. Maybe Jump finally found what he was looking for all along.
But yeah I'm not entirely sure about Porsche and if he really can break the abusive cycle he's been in for so long. He seems to pretty much don't know any other way to interact with people than to control them and force and hurt them, even if it's just to stop them from running away. After all it's what kept him from running away from his abuser... he learned everything from him. I feel sorry for him. I see the hurt, scared little boy in him, but he still hurt others too. His abuse explains his actions but it doesn't excuse them. Somehow I still hope he and Jump will find the puzzle pieces they need to feel whole in each other.
