I think the same too. Firstly we seen him as ghost, and his appearance also looks like it. He also skilled and move fast. but doesn't looks like normal human being. so I wonder if he is variable? but why he got killed easily if he is monster? I thought he is mortal creature.

Knowing him dying on her arms already got me cried ngl. The time skip really ruined that vibe of grief. We deserve to get grief of her lil bit longer.
But the good thing is she living well as Hongran hoping her to be. and I see the last scene as her missing Hongran and feeling gratefull because he provide her better life as he promised.

Tbh, I feels so satisfied when to see Hongran slashed the villain hands. What he did was beyond evil and unforgiven.
atleast he has shortly feeling living without hands that hes been proud of. I want the villain suffer more, but at the same time Hongran had promised to Jaeyi. He can not let the villain alive because if the villain alive, The villain will not let Jaeyi alone. The villain had tried to kill her once. big chance he will do that again.Hongran wants provide safe place for Jaeyi, the place where the villain wouldn't harm her. and also because he has feeling he no longer will be able to protect her in future. thats why Hongran killes the villain.

Ive read it somewhere. in their defense why Baek Jin is not that bad is because he joinned gangster and doing all these crime to make money for orphanages. and he end up died. I think people tend to be forgiven to dead person. like, lets only remember the good things from them.
