Oooh! My opinion is way the contrary. So glad the script writer made changes. I didn't like the manga personalities…
You really preferred how reborn Takae seemed to remember her previous life and simply run and invade her previous family home like it was nothing? And she dragging Keisuke by the hand?
To me this isn't better than the original where reborn Takae looked Keisuke from a distance for something until she realized how broke her previous family was. She lashed on them but it was Keisuke who started to drag her back onto the family. The dorama version made her very annoying and act not very "adult".

There are a lot of other details, like how they made their family overly rose colored. She wasn't just a good person and loved, she was "special".
Anyway, you get the point.

If you don't know the original (manga) go ahead, but if you know and follows the manga and had expectations... caution.

I gave it a look and ended feeling very disappointed.
What I liked from the manga was not the premise, was the execution, the characters, the personalities, the mood. This drama adaptation seems to want to use only the premise. With all the changes (some questionable in my opinion) the mood is quite a lot different, the personalities are not the same which by itself is not bad, what I mean is that they're different in a "negative" sense, they seem less interesting. The way they were presented in this first episode sold them as less interesting and this was in part made worse by the acting. Average "bad"/not good and a bit exaggerated television acting. In a production with Aju Makita playing one of the lead roles I expected that they would select a better child actress to play Take's role, but unfortunately Nono Maida don't see that talented... Though it's a bit unfair to say this when the script they gave to her doesn't do any favors. Adult and child Takae feels like two different persons instead of the same person (I suspect that this is in part due the changes to avoid making Keisuke seems like a pedo but the way her behavior was changed to accomplish this was very questionable and makes the scenes more cringe worthy than the original).

Title Love Letter
Feels like a waste that Matsushima Yukina, the actress that plays the protagonist as a child, didn't really had any other relevant roles after this. Because if you pay attention she delivered a really good performance.
She had to act without using words and did it without exaggerated or wasted expressions and movements. Just watch the first episode when she is pretending to be well to her new family, see how her expressions change every time she doesn't need to face her new parents. She had potential to be a good actress.

Anyone know where I can watch this?
I found the raws on Nyaa and... "learn japanese".
No, seriously. At least these early episodes with the protagonist as a kid use very simple japanese and the characters don't talk fast, it's easy to understand.

Same here! I have high expectations on this one since I know the story. Can't wait to see what they will offer…
As long as I can enjoy looking at Juju it should be worth.

Episode 9 was your usual and tired "misunderstandings" and "forced drama" just was I had expected since the beginning. Really a shame that this drama chose to be just a "fun watch" instead of putting a bit more effort in the writing.

"She is in high school now, and if she chooses to continue to act, she will likely obtain international fame and recognition."
I had forgotten about this. Sometimes these child performers stop acting even before they grow up, even when they are good. I imagine that wish Mana she will just become selective of her roles and not appear in everything possible.

Oh yes, I didn't see the tags, I didn't wanted to watch a story with this trope but now it's too late to drop…
"Terminal Illness" is still there. But it's good, actually, for those how will look the tags.
I wanted to see a story with disabled characters, not the same "oh, she is going to die, oh the tragedy". But even considering this this story and romance was so bland.

Those tags sound like spoilers, the hype is dead.

I'm not sure if i noticed any difference but that might correspond to her character tho xDMaybe because she started…
After thinking a bit, It seems that her skin was also this bright in recent movies. This not specific to this drama.

May I ask something? I was noticing while watching this. Maybe it's in part because of the color grading, but even so, isn't Hana's skin much lighter now than what it was during her teens? Is she just exposing herself less to the Sun or she did some skin care treatment?

Did you notice that in the episode 4 the place with the tree (where Morio found Hachiko) is the exactly the same…
Didn't watched this one, but sometimes I think about this. I get the impression that most of these tokyo dramas are filmed in the same neighborhoods.
