Thank God… finally they started showing Mei Zhu Yu’s powers! 🙌 Episode 17’s last fight scene was amazing watching MZY destroy hundreds of ink spells was the kind of badass moment we’ve been waiting for.
yeah on mydramalist calendar it showing 9.30 release time but on kisskh it showing 9 hours to drop for first 4 episode..but nothing is confirmed yet..lets wait..
Yeah exactly, that’s the problem. Every time Mei Zhuyu tries to do something, Wu Zhen shows up and completely…
Yeah, we’re already reaching halfway through the show, so it’s natural for viewers to get impatient. By now, we expect some real progress with the ML dragging his cluelessness any further just makes the story feel stuck.
Yeah exactly, that’s the problem. Every time Mei Zhuyu tries to do something, Wu Zhen shows up and completely…
Oh no, that’s exactly what I was worried about 😅 Instead of letting Mei Zhuyu prove himself, they keep making him lose so Wu Zhen can swoop in and save the day. If this pattern continues, his character arc is going to feel completely wasted.
I was expecting a badass demon-hunting male lead—someone hiding his true power, acting clueless on the surface…
Yeah exactly, that’s the problem. Every time Mei Zhuyu tries to do something, Wu Zhen shows up and completely overshadows him. Instead of letting him shine as this smart, secretly powerful Daoist, the drama makes him look clueless or passive. I get that they’re saving his “big reveal” for later, but dragging it out this long just weakens his character. By episode 15 he should’ve already had at least some powerful standout moments to prove why he’s the ML and celestial master.....
Yeah same here, I started this with high expectations but they’ve really turned Mei Zhuyu into a side character.…
When they hire such great actors, we as viewers naturally go in with high expectations. But if the writing doesn’t give them the depth or power their roles deserve, it just ends up feeling like wasted potential.
Some people are concerned that Xu Kai's role is not significant. Is that true? I've only watched 3 episodes, and…
I’m on ep 15 now and yeah… the concern is real. Xu Kai’s role so far feels more like he’s just standing around looking handsome while Wu Zhen carries the entire plot on her shoulders. He’s supposed to be this super-skilled Daoist, but the drama barely lets him do anything impactful. At this rate he’s more like a decorative ML than an actual lead. Really hoping the next episodes finally let him show his full potential, otherwise it’s such a waste of both his talent and the budget.
Idk what happened with this drama. It started with a bang and I really enjoyed the first episodes, but now I’m…
Yeah same here, I started this with high expectations but they’ve really turned Mei Zhuyu into a side character. If all the major stuff is just going to revolve around the demon world and the side characters fighting/killing among themselves, then what’s even the point of Mei Zhuyu? Right now it feels like he’s only there to look handsome and stand next to the FL. They should’ve made his character impactful and powerful, otherwise it just wastes a drama with such a strong main cast and big budget. Hopefully the coming episodes fix this, because if not it’ll really drag the whole thing down.
Tbh I also don’t like how they’re showing Mei Zhuyu right now. He’s supposed to be from the Celestial Master…
Yeah, I feel the same. He’s shown like he’s just there on the sidelines, while Wu Zhen does all the heavy lifting. I don’t mind a strong FL at all, but making his power look average just to highlight her feels unbalanced. I really hope it doesn’t go the way of She and Her Perfect Husband where the ML was basically reduced to supporting the FL’s journey. If they don’t start showing Mei Zhuyu’s full potential in the coming episodes, it’s honestly going to drag down the whole drama
When will male lead become strong and steal the show im still waiting for this moment
Tbh I also don’t like how they’re showing Mei Zhuyu right now. He’s supposed to be from the Celestial Master lineage, but the drama keeps making his power look weak just to highlight Wu Zhen as powerful. It feels like he’s being sidelined, almost just tagging along in her journey instead of having his own strong arc. And the whole hidden identity thing… they’re dragging it way too much, it’s starting to feel repetitive instead of exciting
Nothing major happened so far. I’m getting impatient . Pls just don’t cram everything into the last few episodes😭
Yeah… the pacing is so slow that I’ve even started skipping scenes. It feels like it’s going nowhere, but hopefully the next episodes will finally start picking up.
