I just can't get that scene out of my head where he beats up all those kids and then all the students are just silently letting him pass by and following him, like he's earned their respect. And then when the teachers showed up and he had like had that break down and yelled "fuck all the schools in Korea" even the teachers became silent. I don't know, it was just a very impact-full scene for me, I rewatched it 3 plus times.
I really liked this, it was a more meaningful movie in my opinion^^ Do watch it!
I had to quit watching it because of that. I mean, I think it is a very good show, but I have a young son and that made me so upset, I had to just stop watching the show altogether. I couldn't handle it.

Great thanks! I'm going to have to start watching it then :) I've watched most of KJW's dramas and he's one of my favorite actors so it's going to be hard for me to watch him be twisted and evil.

Great article! Thank you. I also think that the romance part is the most boring. The only kiss scene was so out…
Yes, their understanding and care for each other are great. For me princess romance part sometimes too modern and actors do not match well in such a scene. But I like that part where she gives up her own happiness and decide marry In Woo for the country and her brother sake. It's filled with great sense of honor and understanding of royals duty. Every time someone asks about what Joo Won will think about it, I thought that he will understand and be more concern about princess than himself.
Not a bad movie, but not particularly scary. I'd say there was a total of one moment that scared me, and that was a heart-skipping moment because of a pop-up.
Why Seo Kang Joon? WHY WHY WHY It's a mistake right? Gah he can't act at all. Hwajung was ruined because of him…
He isn't the only actor who takes drama after drama. Also, there are better actors of the same age, the same generation. Maybe he can handle better a supporting character in a modern drama but he still has a long way for a lead role.
I;m not his antifan, but popularity shouldn't be chosen over talent.
I will still check out this drama even if he will be in it. Maybe he will be better.
If an actor does a good job, he can be number 1 on my blacklist, I would still acknowledge that.

If you don't mind me asking - Who is Jeong Myeong supposed to end up with (if you know the history) Seo Kang Joon's character? *tell me in a spoiler tag* ^-^ I was avoiding this drama b/c it was Kim Jae Won's comeback drama but I heard he was playing a "evil" role and I love him so much as an actor I didn't really want to see him as an "evil" person... but your article really makes me want to start it now. Do you still recommend it? How many episodes are out now? Does it remind you of Secret Door at all (b/c I loved that one) - I quit watching The King's Face b/c I can't stand it when the girls marry someone else or the character marry for political reasons rather than love (when they have someone they love already that is).
Lee Yeon Hee & Seo Kang Joon sound so intriguing :)
The King's Face is worth to watch? After reading this article and watch this drama - I'm still in episode 26 -, I got an urge to read about all those stories... It's fascinating! I've watched only one drama with Cha Seung Won before and I've fallen for him in this one, he is amazing.
