I've seen all of them before and except for Oh Yeon Soo I liked them, too (I've seen her in Triangle and Jumong and just couldn't connect to her characters... but I'm planning to watch Bittersweet Life that you mentioned one day, so maybe she can change my mind then). Kim Sung Ryung is my favourite out of the actresses in this part! I first took notice of her in The Chaser, but really she is awesome in all of her roles.
It's kind of sad that I can think of many more actors in that age group than actresses :/ I'd say my three favourite ones are Kim Hee Ae (whom I saw you also picked in your last article), Go Hyun Jung and Jeon Do Yeon.
Sadly, in the entertainment world, life for women seems to end at 40. These women are beautiful and talented. Yes some of that beauty may be 'helped', but I wish I had the ability to be 'helped'! You betcha I'd do it too! I'm really enjoying this....as you get towards the end you will need to add some halmoni's! Or maybe another series of over 50's? 60's? Your work will never end!!!
Actually, I do like historical drama. I just didn't like this one because the political aspects in this series wasn't intriguing for me. I tend to lean toward drama that has a combination of adventure, action, romance, and comedy like Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Damo, Gu Family, The Princess Man, Empress Ki, & Orange Marmalade.

It took all the will in me to stop reading a book and finish this drama. I just lost all the drama mood at the time but thankfully, I was able to spend a whole day on this one and enjoyed it to the fullest.
It's amazing how captivating this drama can get, all the political clashes and mesmerizing characterization got me tripping. I always loved politics in historical setting and man did Han Suk Kyu ahjussi did wonders with his king Yongjoo's character. I also like Lee Je Hoon's Sado; he's a pretty good actor.
Amazing drama even when I was in 'go-to-hell-dramas' mood.
Loved Loved LOVED Muoi: Legend of a Portrait. It was my first Korean horror movie and I am glad to see it on the list. I still have yet to watch The Legend of Seventh Cutter but it's been on my list to watch for the longest. You have helped me to finally make up my mind on watching Hwang Jin Yi. I am not as much into historical films so it's always a battle on watching them. Your recommendation has sealed the deal .
I have only seen Hwang Jin-Yi from this list. I think because I have seen it after watching the drama, I was disappointed, but it is a good story and wonderful cast. Will look for Legend of Ginko. Sounds intersting and of course, I love Choi Jin-Shil.
