MY theory: So I think it’s literal in the sense that what the PH opener said that it’s not only the building but the ppl within it. And I feel like when he burned the penthouse and everything he realizes she’s right and there will always be that noise within these smaller apartments that are wall to wall with each other. Now obviously with better construction things will be less loud but I think what the show is trying to convey is with the typical apartment build in Korea this is what you pay for if your not for example as wealthy as the PH owners MY SISTERS theory: Hers is less literal in sense that she thinks it just shows he’s gone crazy and that now he will hear these noises no matter what as he has put so much on the line for this apt and when he comes back it’s just not the same anymore as now he’s lost himself and has gone crazy.
maybe the writers left it open this way for viewers to interpret the ending or maybe it’s a bit of both of our theories idk but what do u guys think?
