I don't think this show is THAT bad but it does a lot of things that are annoying and has very few redeeming qualities. Too much staring, too much crying, too much smiling, and the depictions of the characters are too stereotypical. A lot of bl shows have problems but they usually have something that makes it good but this one doesn't really have anything. The good things are too average which is maybe why so many people hate it. BUT it really isn't that bad imo.
This story is not BL at all for those who are wondering. I find Puen and Singha's relationship actually purely platonic. I think they were really close but as you learn more about Puen's family, that may explain why Puen was so hurt by Singha's betrayal by joining another team. The only time I got something "bl-ish" was by Jern's reaction when puen told her it didn't matter if he dated a guy or a girl. Also her reaction at the end when she went up to talk to Puen and Than kinda makes you think a little.....
Overall great show though. It doesn't have all those annoying irrelevant side stories which are common in a lot of Thai shows and the sound quality is good as well.
The acting is lot better in the Korean version. The main actress is more annoying than anything and the male lead doesn't really pull off the "chef" role.
Out of all the versions, I found that all of the characters personalities weren't as extreme. The main guy wasn't as cold and mean. You could actually see that he liked her. The main girl wasn't as dumb and annoying and 100% dependent on the guy. Even the side characters like the 2nd male lead and the mom, etc weren't as annoying as they are in the other versions. So that's good.
The only thing is that they changed a lot of things which was fine, but I wish they would've kept some of the original scenes cause the show got kinda boring at times. Other than that it was fine.
Ok one thing they REALLY need to fix is the speed of the delivery of their lines. They take WAY too long to talk to each other and I don't get it. Itll be a normal convo and they will just stare for five seconds before replying.
To be honest, the show is a little boring. There are many good things about the drama like the fact that the lead guy isn't a complete asshole to her and she doesn't have to run after him and she isn't stupid. However they could've done something different with the storyline. After they get together, they story kinda died. But it's not bad
