How simple and thoughtful. Just the fact that he stepped in to help in a world where so many people have a "someone else will do it" mentality towards compassion speaks volumes of his character. I get why his fan base adore him... this is by no means his only act of kindness. He is also incredibly philanthropic and very active in various social issues; you have to love that he recognizes what his, and our real role is on the planet.
A word and a challenge to those who respond to hateful and derisive comments: just let them pass you by. The goal of negative comments are to distract you from the nice, pleasant, and positive reports of humanity and to turn your focus on what they are truly after; attention. They often don't actually care about the thing they are commenting on, and most often, in the absence of positive attention, negative will do. Let's not allow hate to turn wonderful articles into a three ring circus, refuse to be pulled down into a pit of endless insults and arguments. They will go away if they don't get what they want.
Let's make it a goal to find an opportunity to extend our own acts of kindness to someone each day... hold a door, carry a package, wipe away a tear... you can create a wonderful memory for someone with a very small gesture.
In your review you are complaining about how immature the actress was in the first part, so you only like series…
You are completely entitled to your opinion... ...so by default, that means I am completely entitled to my own. I will answer your question; I like dramas that don't insult my intelligence. I truly didn't need to watch a second more.
you could've waited one more episode to write this review. why waste your time for 5 episodes? that's lame tbh.…
Why are you so petty and mean? Do I need your permission to have an opinion? Do I need to watch one more episode of a badly written drama to know it's badly written? If you need specs, I've watched more than 600 Korean dramas in the last 8 years... most alllll the way to the end. The only thing that's lame is your trolling other folks reviews without offering anything of substance.
Oh, well said! The reality of the tough education system in SK is hard to watch sometimes from a country (Australia),…
RIGHT! What's strange is, some really push their kids to the brink for that top spot in rank... only to get an office job where they're the low man on the totem pole. I really got hooked on KDrama, but knowing the aspects of how real-life oppressive their culture is makes it feel wrong to support it sometimes. Thanks for commenting!
Seriously, why does the Korean entertainment industry entertain so many idiotic complaints? I'd like to file a complaint against the whiny folks. Theirs is a densely rich "crab in a bucket" society, so there's an over-abundance of citizens who simply live to pull others down, which explains why it's the hub of cancel culture. There's no way these people ever actually enjoy a drama because they seem to only watch them to look for something to complain about. I also saw where their teachers Union complained about the interaction between the antiquated male teacher and the female academy teacher. Seriously? In a culture where children are in school, study rooms, and academies often 12-15 hours a day vying for top grades and SKY acceptance, I'll bet worse things happen in such a cutthroat society. Let's let dramas be friggin dramatic, shall we?
It would have been nice if the writer had enough integrity to simply report on The Childe without creating clickbait by using this man's long-since-resolved-personal incident, but what's worse is that the writer could have used all those pecks on the keyboard to write an at least interesting article about this much awaited film. The only and last apology Seon Ho needs to make is to apologize for apologizing so darn much. The Korean entertainment industry really needs to stop putting so much power in the hands of very bitter and unforgiving members of their society. Enough already.
Honestly, those 43 people completely missed the point. A disease is a disease; they can be debilitating and terrifying and awful no matter the type. The problem is the sense of shame people place on others regarding an illness. The behavior of the in laws was atrocious, and the utter sense of defeat the patient felt, not at the hands of the illness, but at the hands of other human beings, in-laws that probably adored him before they discover he was battling an illness, is worse. It was portrayed exactly how many people behave regarding illness. The lack of compassion, love, and support is a real crime that people commit every day.
