I didn’t hate it as much as I initially thought I would. Although I couldn’t really tell if there was even a story during the first two episodes, it gradually became clearer. A good story? No, but at least there was a story.

The different groups of queen bees started out as enemies, but slowly began to appreciate each other a little. Jeedny came back after summer break as her true self and was basically just looking for allies who would accept her for who she is. (She just didn’t go about it in the smartest way XD).

The most consistent and clear storyline was definitely Jet and New, and how their friendship gradually developed into a relationship as they came to terms with their feelings for each other.

I found, and I’m probably not the only one , the “ladies” super annoying. Not just because their entire personality revolved around bitching at each other, but also because their high-pitched, shrill voices didn’t go well with my laptop speakers. My neurodivergent brain did not enjoy that. (sensory overload) So I’ll be honest: I skipped through most of their scenes.

I think that’s why I gave this series a 5.5 instead of a 2.

Will I watch season 2? Probably yes. I’m just a bit curious to see how Jet and New’s story continues.

But if you’re a BL watcher who can’t overlook a show’s flaws and just gets mad about whether something is (morally) right or wrong in your eyes ......save yourself the energy and pick a series with a higher rating.
