Yep both options are awful.
But you are right your option would be more palatable as the ML would be on equal footing with the FL's behaviour with SML.

Edit : - I think I noticed someone else say this that it would not be surprising if one of them probably FL comitted su*cide.

There is a comment below that puts some points perfectly, how so many people (women probably) are defending the FL about her past her hardships etc etc etc being an excuse or at least a reason for her behaviour, That no one is paying attention to the ML's hardships and his history of being abandoned so we can add FL abandoning him too.

Waiting to see how bad the ending is before deciding if I want to watch it.

Judging by Asian drama's I've seen so far, she will explore her feeling's for SML.
ML won't do anything with SFL and then after 7 episodes or how ever many are left of FL with SML she ends up going back to ML, who annoyingly will take her back probably.

I hope to god that doesn't end up happening maybe if he gets with SFL has a relationship for several years and after they break up he meets FL who has been single the entire time an alone he considers getting back with her LOL.

I haven't watched this yet outside of Youtube shorts.
But now FL is in love with loser 2ML who forced a kiss on her ?

Hopefully he marries the SFL, Invites FL and SML, she show's up alone, as SML has already moved on and she realises that spark was nothing but momentary lust

I think I need to give this a go again.
I tried watching this in 2023 just after I started watching KDrama's, had just watched "The Beauty Inside" and liked Seo Hyun Jin so jumped into this, And I couldn't finish even the 1st episode, I actually think I dropped it 20 minutes in.

Although going by comments below you need to give it time to grow on you.
