The propaganda stuff, I,ve noticed it it some form or another it literally every Chinese show i,ve seen so far, I don't care i'm aware it's there I just ignore.

Being from the UK I grew up watching American Tv and movies and can we honestly say there isn't forms of propaganda there it's just not as blatant all the time, some may say insidiously lol

Lol Same was like yes yes really enjoying this then that happened. The guy literally had the worst possible childhood then that. I know he sacrifices himself basically for her but still.
I am not a fan of bad endings lol they taint an otherwise fantastic show. If I wanted bad stuff I'd turn on the news or my real life (not that bad)

Ahhh got it I watched the 1st 2 episodes back in December but got distracted and stopped watching it. Will restart soon.

40 years does the show jump forward in time that much ?

I've been stuck with 11-12 too watch since last July when it was airing due to the middle episodes annoying me so much I really enjoyed the first 3 or 4 episodes then it felt like the entire show changed lol.

I was watching this at the same time as King The Land which I was loving and when I stopped watching this I stopped watching that as well and still haven't finished it I really need to watch the end lol

It burnt me out I binge watched like 2 or 3 40 episode Chinese shows to cleanse my brain Haha

I am so knew to being aware of Asian celebs I am completely unaware of the dynamo era etc. I've got Rainie Yang marked to check her dramas, but unfortunately looks like she has at least put career on hold to raise family or even retired 1 film in 5 years.

I never said she shouldn't get a job but their should definitely be some kind comeback and it should be consistent for both males and females, some never work again while others nothing happens to them.

She's attractive though, and isn't it common for Korean actresses to go under the knife whether they admit it or not.

I haven't started it yet, But I have learned to ignore the ratings and comments on here and just give it ago. I have found shows I might not have watched due to low ratings which I personally really enjoy.

I liked it for the reason you mentioned it's light, felt fun, and isn't bogged down with too much.
It kind of depends on what you like personal preferences, all the shows you mentioned above I have marked to watch but after reading the synopsis and tags they all seem very heavy and more serious than this, so I personally vote both types high as I enjoy both for different reasons if that makes sense.

The only one of the above I've watched so far is Taxi Driver which I wouldn't compare with this as there to different. I really enjoyed both I went a bit high and gave this a 10 lol but it is great but not comparable with Taxi Driver.

Loved it bring on season 2.

I gave it 10 even if I saw some of the twists a million miles away, Uncle one was obvious so was the childhood "friend".
