So true, it's too hard to translate these novels . First mtl then check and correct every mistake is there by comparing everything then make a file and then I'll read translated novels that i translate myself. It took me so much time. I'm not fluent in Chinese . I've to have a book so what i don't understand in the mtl i had check it again in the book or google.But it's worth it. When i see these novel i loved turned something like melodramatic and cliche plot, most importantly unnecessary messy , it makes me want to bang my head on the wall. It's so much painful to watch

Absolutely right and absolutely true, everything u said..., i agree with all all of it. Not only general's lady but also the bloom of ruyi pavilion, my little happiness,legend of yunxi etc. General's lady.. Such a good story but because they want some fluffy story they made fl fell for ml at first sight.. Then she became moron and stupid. She was supposed to be strong character but what have they made her to? And the ending.. Such a pathetic ending. These screen writers doesn't understand sometimes making it simple and realistic made the whole drama more in interesting with slight changing, not all of the original work. If want to change so much just write your own story. Destroying others much appreciated work
