Great potential and great start, but it fell apart especially towards the ending

Spring of the Blade had so much potential as a revenge drama. I started the series wanting more of it, especially the chemistry and the teasing of the two leads🔥, but the story became increasingly disappointing, especially toward the end. 💔

I do not like leaving things unfinished. If I didn't have the itch to finish what I started, then I would've dropped this halfway through. I skipped many times since there were too many family conflicts and plots that kept going in circles. At some point, the revenge no longer felt satisfying.

The story involving the Xie grandmother and Qingyuan's mother and father towards the end felt rushed towards the end. 💨There was also Li Cong Xin's and Xie Qingru's "happy ending". 🙄 I know that Cong Xin is a kind man, but I don't think kind men will be attracted to cruel people like Qingru. I guess people can still change for the better, but I doubt Qingru turned to a new leaf, I just think the pain and sadness of being neglected by the person she loves is so overwhelming that she doesn't even have the energy to be mean anymore.

Overall, this had a great start, and the leads have a good chemistry, but writing of the story towards the end wasted so much of its potential that it frustrated me. 😤
