Me too.. I cant really understand her.. So i re-read the novel again and notice few things like their first time went out with each other was in qinlong temple, the one they built in the past.. Plus other characters in modern setting.. Though not mention specifically in the novel.. I think her best friend hong xiaoyu is the senior sister xiaoyu and du feng (xiaoyu's crush is cuifeng, shiyi's cousin)..

Zhousheng chen is going to feel hurt again.. This time by his closest relatives.. Xinghua reincarnated as zhousheng chen's sister, wenxing🤧

What's more surprising is that he's reincarnated as zhousheng chen's best friend..

Reading the novel again after finishing the drama and i found few details in modern timelines coincide with their past.. For example Qing Long temple..

This will be one of my favorite drama of all time.. The drama did so much justice to the novel! Also, can we all appreciate the familial relationship between shiyi, cuifeng, her senior brothers and sisters and prince Pingqin.. They care a lot about each other.. I still can't move on from the scene where cuifeng and xie yun knew about shiyi's death.. So sad.. And how the older xie yun reminiscence about his master, shiyi and siblings at the temple.. I think out of the disciples, only he's still alive😭

He owed shiyi and zhousheng chen for saving his life. Though he's on the bad side, he never forget the debt he owed to them..

He doesnt really serve anyone because he felt betrayed by his country.. When his county yaocheng was attacked, his governor sent 10 generals to ask for backup troops.. Out of 10 general only he survived when cui shiyi helped him.. The other 9 generals were refused help by other vassal prince and died.. So that's why he said to zhousheng chen and shiyi he will not guard yaocheng and beichen ever again.m

So if im not wrong, evil prince will reincarnated as zhousheng chen's best friend in modern timeline... Xiaoyu as shiyi best friend and princess (evil prince sister) as zhousheng chen's younger sister..all with different faces from their past..

The first arc is about their past lives.. The original novel is mainly about their modern times.. The writer only mention little scene about their past lives so I was surprised they gonna make a 24ep for it.. Bet it will explore more on other side characters too..
