That was the highroad, I was giving you genuine advice on how to not get upset online or irl over people's differing opinions. I did not sound like a child, I responded neutrally and told you that lettings your emotions be so easily swayed by a stupid show only does you a disservice. Some weird remark about "getting a new job" ('don't quit your day job' is used for people bad at their hobby, not in response to opinions) and how my opinion is a minority so has no value - there's actually a bunch of people who did not give it tens. I personally find reviews to be more insightful if they offer some criticism on books etc than just "best/worst ever". I'd recommend going to Goodreads and reading negative reviews of your favourite books; different perspective can help appreciate the art more Have a fun day.
I like your review, a lot of the reviews don't offer anything beyong 5 X 10, with nothing to think about. I did not pick up on ther R&J comparison before, but it fits well - instead of Capulets and Monatgue there are governments and a border seperating them . In your opinion, not a fact. Dan & Mara should learn to accept other people's opinions that differ from their own. The drama was unrealistic, from running through a minefield, not dyign in a tornado etc to people's reactions. So from the start you have to take it as an over the top comedy.
It was pretty good for the first half, then around the hospital scene the suspense drops off when Captain Ri can pull out the Dad card to remove most threats. The story has near no suspense in the latter south Korena half. Music was not that great, it was the same 3 songs repeated each episode, and for too long. Constant scenes of them standing, not alking - just music.
The romance was pretty crap tbh, and if you want proof of that. Captain Ri gets sold how Seri is normally, he asks her about her likes and dislikes and her response is "you don't need to know that stuff, I already told you, your face is my type"... That does not sound like she likes him beyond him being hot to her.. Also, Captain Ri is some type of uberman who can do no wrong. He cooks (makes noodles fresh..), he is rich, smart, plays piano, he is well read, he is gentle and rarely yells, he is kind even to his annoying neighbours to the point of being a doormat, his family comes with high social status, damn what more could a spoilt woman like Seri want? He is essentially perfect, too perfect - it makes the romance look fake and one sided. He ended up looking a bit like a pet, form being a bodyguard to her putting the computer on child mode.
