A drama packed with romance, angst and entertainment
This drama is one of the best dramas i have watched. From the acting to the chemistry to the overall aesthetic and direction this drama was a treat to watch. It took me out of my slump and has left me truly obsessed and trying to fill the void left by this drama.Lu yuxiao and hou minghao were the standouts of this drama. They had great visual and physical chemistry. Their synergy was great. The romance was endearing and fluffy yet electric and the angst was heartbreaking yet not overly done. I really dislike misunderstandings but this drama portrayed it well. Ming yi and ji bozai never gave up on eachother. I understood ming yi's predicament and why she lied and i understood ji bozai's reaction. But i loved the scenes where he found out she was ming xian. He was so inlove and was so proud.
But lu yuxiao truly cemented herself as one of my top actresses. Ming yi's strength and dilemmas and her motivations were clearly portrayed. The scene in which she was tortured were so well done her far away and unfocused eyes, her shaking hands and her pleads for her mother. This being followed by the scene in the bath which was so intimate were definitely the highlights of this drama. I understood why ji bozai was so down bad for her because honestly same. Ming yi's fairy era was something else her flirty yet cute acting had me binge watching the episodes. The scene where 27 sacrifices himself and her reaction made me cry i felt so bad for her it made my heart ache.
Hou minghao as ji bozai was such a fun and attractive character. Him flirting with ming yi and slowly falling for her. His stubbornness and being struck by lightning multiple times just to write their names on the marriage stone was one of my favourite scenes. He was fiercely loyal and the fight scenes were so well done.
Their companions were so endearing and devoted. The side characters were all interesting aswell and i enjoyed their side plots aswell.
But situ ling and his wierd situationship with that fox girl were so annoying. Both were wierd. I felt bad for situ lings childhood but dude was such a wierdo.
The osts were melodious and helped set the scenes.
I loved this drama and would definitely recommend it. Mingzai is in all sense of the word a power couple.

A peak comfort drama
I need to talk about the actors first. Everyone did such a great job and specially both the main leads. The male lead actor was so well suited for the role but his portrayal of the cold rich handsome ceo was so nuanced. I completely understood him and how the female lead was the sunshine in his life. Coming on to lu yuxiao, she was soooo good i feel like she's literally born to be an actresses. I laughed with her and smiled at her antics and cried when she cried. Zhiyu isn’t special guys i too would be down bad for huixu. There characters weren't stereotypical and the acting helped further this point.The drama had me giggling and kicking my feet. The chemistry was on another level. The fluff the angst the romance was so on point. The writer wove this story so beautifully. The soundtrack added to the scenes. And the cinematography was breathtaking i wanted to be a part of that world.
This is a peak comfort drama and i am both in love and obsessed so i'll now go back to rewatching the show.

An insanely fun drama
It is truly one of the most entertaining drama's i have watched. The bond between the sisters was heart warming. Their bond with their mother. They were so hard working and despite the circumstances never lost hope and kept striving.The acting was on point and the ost was so nice to listen to. It felt like a cosy drama that one can watch when they're sad or just tired because it's sooo fun.
My favourite couple were the third sister and her match and the fourth sister and her match. The sort of enemies to lovers dynamic of the 3rd sister’s story. The constant back and forth and their banter was so fun.
The fourth sister’s story was the most green flag one out of all the couples. Truly stole the second half of the show.
The men were problematic yes but the women weren't damsels in distress, thus the story worked. The women were able to put them in their place and i enjoyed how besotted the husbands became.
The brother came back and the adopted sister also got her happy ending.
Mama li was the driving force of this drama.
All in all the actor's did great and i thoroughly enjoyed the drama.
