Lukewarm chemistry is the right expression for this drama. Not totally bad, some good friendship scenes, actors are good, but Iāve never been able to be totally into it. Scenes of happiness felt forced and the romantic relationship was too shallow for my liking.
So far I feel this is an excellent drama and I enjoy it very much. It is so sensual and different from what we are used to with kdramas. I am happy with this new type of dramas that Netflix is showing us⦠Lovestruck in the city had a similar vibe, but Nevertheless feels definitely deeper. I appreciate the chemistry between the main leads and even though I understand that the FL probably expects more from the ML than what he is ready to give, it is not my definition of a ātoxic relationshipā. When both parties know what they are getting into but one of them end up wanting more from the other, it is indeed a recipe for disaster, but I am interested in seeing how the director will address the matter. I am not rooting for any type of endgame yet, I am just enjoying the rideā¦
I love love love this show. It is getting better and better in every episode. Maybe itās not everyoneās cup of tea, but it is clearly mine. JCWās acting is excellent, his play is so versatile and subtle. Weāve had the sweet, innocent, playful, dreamer PJW, the lovestruck, desperate, sad, drunk PJW and now we are seing the serious, realistic, cranky, sarcastic PJW. Any JCWās fan out there should definitely try it out just to see the full scope of his acting capabilities. I will definitely rewatch when the whole series will be out, but so far, I find myself enjoying the ride.
I soooo relate to your post, except that I am 44 yo. Married to an asian men with 2 half asian/american teenage boys!! I discovered kdrama kind of late, didnāt know it existed before 2 years ago! Found out that they are my escape to my everyday life (especially during this COVID « groundhog dayĀ Ā» like period). Finally, someone who understands me...!! My attraction for everything asian (especially kdrama actors) really intrigues me!
i love this episode 8 so much.!Love to see KDI sharing with the ladies :) and hope KDI and Ms. Go will be best…
And what about that scene where he falls on her and tell her « yes I am a man, an a great one » or something like that... wooooo I thought about this all day long! Definitely feeling the chemistry here :-)
