Somebody gave it a really low rating which dropped it down. It only matters what you think of it.♥
That’s exactly why I checked other sites to see how the ratings are since MDL ratings tend to be flawed and I know many others tend to use MDL ratings to decide if a drama is worth watching. They should be consistent or similar across various platforms to show that a drama is good or not.

Since the Chinese site showed a much higher rating than the dramas that are higher in popularity, it shows how those dramas are hyped due to the actors and not because of the story and acting. If a drama is good, it will show.

This drama is actually doing pretty well in China. The viewership rating has reached a high record percentage and the playback index has been consistently in the top 10 list. The only setback is how the ranking of this drama is being overshadowed by the few big named popular ones according to China’s database.

The casts also did a live streaming for their drama recently. If the show wasn’t doing well, I don’t think they would take the time to put together a streaming.

If you check the photos section, the ratings are actually much higher on this Chinese site than flourished peony and moonlight mystique which is supposedly higher in popularity among the ongoing dramas in China

I agree. One of the reasons why this drama isn’t rated as high as the other one is because the other drama has the popular actress in it. But then again the ratings on MDL are not always to be trusted completely.

Yes that’s another reason. You will always tend to find that the popular dramas have well known actors and there are also those who rate the drama just based on the actor/actress without even watching the drama

The ratings on MDL tend to be underrated or overrated so don’t let the ratings be the determining factor for watching a drama. The dramas that have high ratings are usually due to the main leads being popular more so than the story/acting itself

Definitely! As you can see, those dramas that are currently at the top of the list are mainly because the main actors/actresses are popular
