I cried in the first 10 seconds! I predict more tears in my future! Their utter acceptance of each other is both beautiful and heartbreaking because of what has happened. Koichi gave life to Mitsuru by befriending him in the beginning. Now, it feels like that it's Mitsuru 's energy that is keeping Mitsuru around. I can't stop watching even when I know that in the end they will have to be parted. I think this bl will stay with me for a long time to come.

I think I poorly worded my initial sentiment. But I totally agree with you that the kiss in context is appropriate. I have loved every minute of this series and I absolutely loved the whole innocence of this episode.

Some of the commentators below were a little disappointed. But I totally agree with you. I think what came before was more powerful than the kiss.

Beautifully shot; Mitchan's narrative wss poignant; Koichi's carefreeness is heartbreaking because we know what happens; the acting is sublime and I'm crying for the 3rd week. This bl broke my heart after watching the first episode but I can't stop watching it. There is also subtlety and quietness about how we only see Koichi & Mitchan most of the time. This gives the episodes so far a haunting quality. Some people may find the kiss childish but I think it was deliberately done to show the naivety of two boys being each others first.
I wish there was an English translation of the novel because I would love to read it. It's hard to believe that the episodes are only around 24 mins when so much story to conveyed. I'm not sure it's a bl I'd go back to watch because it would be heartbreaking all over again.

Not me that's crying because I just binged watched the entire series and it's over. It's my first OffGun series and I'm blown away! I saw this after Eclipse and I loved First too! He needs a tissue company to sponsor him because he's a crier! It's a shame that there is no season two because I need to know the Black/Todd story! I felt that there was definitely a connection there...maybe that's just me! This series is definitely one I'll rewatch!

Totally agree with your point. It's the actor/actresses that in the end give life to the written characters.

@WaveGhost thanks for the recommendations. I'll definitely watch them. The BL industry is really complex like any other in the entertainment business anywhere in the world. I did watch KP and it's a shame that it's not aired on bigger platforms like Netflix in Europe. I wasn't aware of all the behind the scene politics at the time. It's ironic because in Europe a writer in most cases loses total control of their work once they sale the film rights unless they are a big name. It's a shame that writers' of KP exploited their privilege. My initial comments were probably naive and will evolve as I understand the industry better. Thx again

@RenataMJ Thanks for taking the time for a detailed explanation. I can see now why my initial comment lacked an understanding of the sector. I realise now how complex the industry is and how it has own set of rules. I guess I will now watch BL's with a better understanding and be more comfortable with certain scenarios such as fan service. I've loved the few series that I've have watched so far. I'll even watch Love Syndrome when it comes out and watch it with an open mind. Thanks again for giving me a valuable insight into the industry.

@Renata Each to to their own. I'm not turned on by forced sex or a rape scenes. Maybe, the actual series may handle the rape scene storyline more sensitively and it will not as bad as indicated by the synopsis.
I'm new to BL but I find that some fans can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality. I don't also think disliking rape scenes is a cultural difference! I also find it creepy and strange that some fans actually believe that on-screen relationships are real! The first BL i watched was Cutie Pie and months later fans still continue to believe that Zee and New are a couple in real life! I love Zee & New but I find their fan service a bit strange at times such as swopping rings a few weeks ago! Zee is 31 years old and New is a 19-year old new comer to the industry. I wonder how much of these staged opportunities are forced on them by their managers for financial gain! Ive only watched a few BLs and my views are probably limited by what ive seen. I'm a straight woman watching BL and and introduced to the genre by a gay friend. Clearly, I'm open minded and not into cancel culture unless it's usedagainst homophobic idiots!

The flying umbrella 🌂 gave me chills. My heart is already dented after the 1st episode and I'm not sure it can take the heartbreal that's surely going to come.

Omg I knew this series was going to be an emotional ride based on the synopsis. After watching the first episode I'm a mess! There is amazing chemistry between Yamana and Oumi even in their silence! The opening song touches my soul even though I don't understand a word! It feels like a BL that will stay with me long after I watch it.
