I have seen people using this term for romance dramas irrespective of whether it is modern or historical...For your peace of mind, I will edit the term to romance...fine?

All the dramas you mentioned where there is romance, it is generally described as idol dramas...Also I didn't write anything to offend someone...So better be polite in your replies please...I also like yang yang and dilireba...

The amazing thing about this drama is it follows the novel closely or is better than the novel. This is the advantage when the novelist is the script writer. The director, scriptwriter and actors have done their homework properly. The cinematography is really really nice. The osts are also good. It gives a special feel to the drama. Even when it is a romance drama, the realistic touch that we get in a lot of scenes is worth commendable. We can relate it to a lot of scenarios in life. The chemistry between yang yang and dilireba is so natural and their acting is so good. The way their love story progresses naturally without the usual cliches in modern dramas is worth commendable and enjoyable. The drama also shows the showbiz and aerospace engineering fields beautifully. It is not just their romance, their profession is also covered which is really rare in Chinese modern romance dramas. Also when yutu is teaching the games to jingjing, the drama covered the gaming aspects. The CGI was good. Also each and every actors has done justice to their roles. So it is really refreshing to watch this drama. This drama has a special place in my heart.

I really liked the promo...Will definitely watch the drama for Wu Lei...I hope it will air soon...

Acting is superb..Overall I liked the storyline..The female lead is really smart..I think 'cunning' may be the right word for her...The emperor is a trash..I never developed any liking for him...I wonder whether the FL really loved the emperor or not...Why do I feel Fuca Fu Heng is her true love...With a lot of planning and plotting and backstabbing, I only can tell that no one is a saint in this series...Also irrespective of whether the consorts became ill natured, I won't blame them completely...I feel bad for all those women in those times who had to suffer a lot because of so called narcissistic emperor...Any way actor that played the role of emperor did an extremely good job in portraying the character...Also among the consorts, the actress who played noble consort gao really impressed me even though people will loathe her character...The production quality of the drama is really good...I really liked the opening ost and some bgm...The costumes are also really good..

I hope youku will invest properly for CGI...We can know whether there will be a change in production quality of drama when the platform changes...

If they invest money properly,they can perform those scenes well...If they are trying to gain profit investing less, the quality of drama will be compromised...

Same feeling...It gave me a feeling that those producers were trying to save money...I would have preferred actors performing those scenes...In terms of production quality in these areas, Tencent really disappointed me...In Dilireba's next project(The Blue Whisper) in youku with same director, if they follow the same tactics , I will definitely rant nonstop...

No idea..Only the screen writers know...The article says screenwriter is not happy with the ending and he vented about it in weibo...It says producers asked to cut the main leads scenes...

I am feeling sad for Diliraba and Wu Lei...They deserve better treatment..They should work with other platforms which won't compromise quality and creativity of work...Anyway even without many romantic scenes, they have left a huge impression on the audience...I only hope they get better projects in a better platform who treats them better..

So producers/Tencent played dirty and cut the main leads' scenes.. A whole new level of playing dirty..Even the screen writers cannot write what they want to write bcz of these producers..sigh..

I really want to watch final episode without spoilers...How I wish Eng subs were available at the time of airing..

A part of me wants to check spoilers tomorrow to know about how the drama is going to end and another part of me wants to wait till next week till Eng subs are available...I think I should stay away from spoilers..Only way to do so is to stay away from twitter,instagram,YouTube,mdl for a while..Is that really possible? My mind is really going crazy...lol..

It is dirty politics to make it look like a bad drama..They have nothing to say about acting...So for the sake of criticizing, they brought topics like hairstyle, age gap etc. Funny thing is some people are behaving as if it is the first time in the history of drama, a younger male lead is cast with an older female lead..lol..The hypocrisy of these people is they are totally fine if the male lead is older than female lead...

In my opinion it is underrated..Even before watching the drama, haters started giving it low ratings and commented bad about the main leads...Now that more people are watching and realising how good it is, its popularity is gradually increasing by word of mouth..and actors are getting praised for their performance...So it is suddenly a overrated drama for some jealous souls...
