Law, Lunch, and a Little Bit of Friendship Magic!!

Law and the City is a pretty simple drama, and as a slice-of-life lover, I genuinely enjoyed the story. The only part I wasn’t a fan of was the romance between the leads—it wasn’t slow burn, and there was a clear lack of chemistry. In the first 4–6 episodes, there was something charming going on, but it didn’t last.

The drama follows the lives of five different lawyers, each with their own story to tell, all working under different partners in the same law firm. The highlight for me was definitely the friendship dynamics and the cozy, beautiful visuals. There’s nothing groundbreaking here, but it’s a feel-good watch.

That said, the plot and romance could have been developed better, it’s definitely not for those seeking a unique storyline or intense romance. I did love that everyone got a happy ending and went on their own paths. I’m actually hoping for a short Season 2 (maybe 4–6 episodes) just to see how their friendships and lives are going. I think I connected with it more because I was watching it over a month, so it grew on me.

You can binge-watch this when you’re bored, but be ready to skip a few unnecessary scenes. On the brighter side, there are two other couples worth watching- the married couple (the husband is total standard material!) and Sangi’s love story, which was short and sweet!!!!
