planning on starting this very soon! it will be my first BL, is this the type of drama that will keep me hooked…
The Untamed is a classic BL. The story might be confusing in the first few episodes but if you continue you will end up binge watching till the end. And then experience withdrawal symptoms after it is over.

Why they act like they are new in their work?Aishhhh....
It's like new technology in the workforce. You could be working for a decade in the job, but the new tech will throw you off. You will either have to learn the new tech while on the job or become obsolete. Learning something new and adapting to changes will always be a bit difficult. That's my take on this situation, so I am not mad and actually glad about the way the story is depicting them. If they weren't struggling and smoothly caught the villains we wouldn't even have a story.

Can anyone please tell me the name of the song at the end of the movie, can't find it using Shazam.
Oh, just discovered that the song is on Spotify. Just type in HEO Luna.

Yuk Dong Joo and Lee Myung Seok has a hilarious tolerate- hate relationship. I want a spin-off series focusing on them becoming close unwittingly and for it to become a love- hate relationship. A full on strong bromance.

in the novel her character was more annoying than the drama, specially in volume 1,but her character grows mature…
Damn. I simply admire the tenacity of the actress in playing such a role and trying to make it endearing to the audiences.

That azure lord seems kinda sus in ep 3, 17:47. I want for him to have a whole romance storyline with that ice clan dude because they have that level of chemistry just from that hand grab scene. Anyways, Xiao Zhan is killing it. The actress is doing good too (I am a fan of her previous work), but her character is too annoying. I just wish her voice wasn't so high pitched and baby like. I really hope teenagers in ancient magical lands don't speak like that because I would have preferred for them to die over listening to them!

Is he a human or alien or robot ??
Maybe he's an angel? Since he hears those who are in pain, or about to do something wrong, or did something wrong, or whose death is near?

I agree that the ML is not exactly a ML wherein the drama is not revolving around him. However, his character is not useless either. The character can sort of come across as annoying and maybe one-dimensional, but I feel that his character is a good sound board against the FLs character. And the actor playing the ML has done a good job so far. I thought I wouldn't be interested in the drama, but I ended up liking it so far. Except for the 4th wall scenes of the FL. Those scenes feel like they were taken from another drama tonally.

Person Bai Jing Ting
I have watched 3 dramas from this guy. In all 3 he plays MLs who are huge green flags. Does this guy only pick nice characters to play? I thought that if somebody plays such goody-two shoes characters all the time, there won't be any differences between the characters and it would be boring to watch. But each character is so different and it's a pleasure to watch him and the characters he plays. I have never been this interested in watching nice guy characters. I know there are other dramas and characters that are nice guys, and there are other actors who do justice to such roles. But something about him and the way he acts out the character hits different. I quickly added him to my top favourite actors!

This is just what I wanted to say! I would've been able to tolerate the FL if that terrible love plot wasn't forced onto them in such a terrible way. They should've leaned into the bromance between the two MLs because they had way more chemistry between them than Lu Yao and the FL. The FL should have only been a friend.

I love the fact that our main leads (Bai Jing Ting and Song Yi) are together in real life. That makes me enjoy…
Damn, I just searched it up and it seems to be true! How cute! I think I read that they fell in love during the course of the drama filming. Aww! This is one celeb couple that I genuinely wish could last long and be happy!

The ML is a big, walking, talking green flag. I keep seeing those articles listing MLs and SMLs as green flags, but I think this ML trumps them all. Goddamn! I am not the kind of person to wish a character were a real person, or that I was a character; I'm not the romantic kind.... But I kinda wish now that I could be married to this guy! All the actors are great at their job (especially the ones playing the leads), the script and plot makes sense. I even love the sets and dresses. This drama has me in a chokehold I'm afraid.

I feel like Pu Yi Yong is really similar to his mother and he takes after her in terms of thinking, character and physical appearance. Both are wild, unconventional, good at heart, weird and strong willed. I really feel like his mom is a hidden gem in the show with how cool she is. I am also amazed how each character seems stupid at times, really mature at other times and really childish at others. The speed at which they change between these facets of their characters gives me whiplash sometimes! Really enjoyed this show.

Edit: Really wishing for a season 2!!!

Hurrah for AI!! (Just kidding, of course! ) As a professional translator it warms the cockles of my heart that…
I for one will never underestimate translators. I can not fathom doing translation work even though I know a few languages myself.

The ending of episode 4 was daebak πŸ‘πŸ”₯.... But children are taking so much of screentime πŸ˜₯it's annoying…
I agree. It was cute when they first mentioned the kids and showed them but then it became excessively boring and annoying. It's only considered funny and cute if it is sparsely interspersed in a heavy plotline, not if it is taking up a major chunk of the plot.

I am so irritated... I usually watch my dramas on dramacool, but the subbing on this series in dramacool is so bad that I can't understand what is happening. I am not able to focus on or enjoy the show because I am not able to grasp the context of the conversations due to the terrible subbing. I really wanted to watch this drama because I love both the main actors but I guess I won't be able to.

The best part of the drama to me were the chefs, especially chef Xue. I was just casually watching the series and it didn't evoke any special emotions from me except for the chef Xue's death and then the deaths of the other chefs. So, I was surprised to find that I genuinely felt devastated and sad when they had to die. I was in tears at the death of chef Xue. Also, the last three episodes were surprisingly heavy and nice. At first I felt it odd how most of the series was lighthearted and fluffy a with a few serious moments thrown in and the ending got really serious. It was inconsistent and it threw me off. Usually a serious series will be mostly serious and a fluffy one will be 99% fluff. Still, I realized that this inconsistency was an accurate representation of people living in the ancient times. There will always be the stress of your head flying off or traps and other serious stuffs in the palace, but mostly it would catch you unawares and most of your time would be normal like how we live. Am I making sense? Not sure anymore, haha. Anyways, it was nice.
