i remember obsessing with the webtoon back then , i hated trashta with a passion , so imagine my surprrise and…
I know right, haha. This drama has such a well-known cast that it's hard for me to imagine these characters being played by these specific actors but I think it'll be fun

Title The Golden Spoon Spoiler
Who are the two couples in the book.Is the ML and the rich heiress FL one couple & the SML and SFL one couple…
Yeo Jin and Seung Cheon had an enemies-to-lovers progression, I believe. Yeo Jin was threatening and manipulating Seung Cheon on many occasions because she had his golden spoon, her goal was to marry him because his family is very rich. But then there were many moments when we see her being soft for him and taking care in her own ways. Seung Cheon didn't like her initially, of course, because she stole his spoon, knew his secret, and threatened to expose him. He started to treat her better towards the end, they also had cute moments together throughout the story but they usually didn't last because of their initial mistrust of each other and Seung Cheon's obsession with Joo Hee.

If the drama makes Seung Cheon more likable and redeemable, then I guess it's okay if he ends up with Joo Hee, it's hard not to like Sung Jae anyways lol. But I would treat it like a different universe then, I liked the couples in the webcomic, haha. And yes, Tae Yong and Joo Hee had a lot of cute moments in the webcomic. She was waiting for him to complete his military service, she went against her family to be with him even when he was hesitant because he couldn't give her too much in terms of wealth, and despite all the factors that were keeping them apart, they couldn't forget each other. And even with all the switching, she eventually learned to recognize Tae Yong... So yeah, if they decide to change the ending and couples, then I would expect them to change a lot of details.

Just a little disclaimer that I don't remember everything in great detail but I'll try my best here. There were a lot of close calls where Seung Cheon was almost caught. Tae Yong and Joo Hee started catching feelings in college but they were conflicted because Seung Cheon was engaged with Joo Hee and they were all close childhood friends. Seung Cheon was also guilt-tripping them lol. I don't remember the exact location to pinpoint but I would say yes, the love triangle is pretty much over somewhere in the middle once the readers realize that Seung Cheon's attempts to keep Tae Yong and Joo Hee apart will eventually fail. At one point, Tae Yong and Joo Hee officially get together but they were spending a lot of time together even prior to that, lots of cute moments.

Yeo Jin develops feelings for Seung Cheon but it takes her a long time to confess and once she finally does, I think Seung Cheon dismisses them, saying he still wants to have Joo Hee, if I remember correctly? He wanted to be with Joo Hee so bad because she represented everything he wanted to be: born to a rich family, beautiful, and successful. Only closer to the end does Seung Cheon get together with Yeo Jin. There were some moments with these two here and there but they weren't shown dating. There are several time skips in this story and the final one shows them as adults. Yeo Jin and Seung Cheon have two kids: a daughter and a son. Tae Yong and Joo Hee have one son. Their sons are good friends, too.

I agree with you in terms of how the drama will play this out, I hope for this ending too. Also, when I said the real dad finds out, I meant the poor dad (Seung Cheon's real dad). It can get quite confusing describing all this stuff with their switching, haha. So the poor dad did nothing because he felt guilty for being poor... He blames himself that Seung Cheon chose to leave his family, that he wasn't able to provide for him. He still loves Tae Yong and he's grateful that he chose him but I kinda got the vibe that deep down he was never able to forget Seung Cheon's choice. The other family members of both boys never found out, I believe. There were small differences and forgotten memories they noticed in them here and there but they brushed it off, like "oh kids grow up and become different" thing.

While love is definitely present in this story, I don't think it's the main focus, it was more about family and wondering who will find out, how this whole story will end, and will they switch back. In the end, all the characters are living well.

LOTS OF SPOILERS.

Yes, the ML was very dislikable. There's a love triangle kinda, with Joo Hee and the two MLs. But it was more like Seung Cheon was meddling in their business and tried to keep them apart. Joo Hee and Tae Yong have always had great chemistry but then Seung Cheon also falls for Joo Hee and after he switches places with Tae Yong, he tries to keep her with him, despite the attraction she feels for Tae Yong. Joo Hee was able to realize that it was Tae Yong all along and learns about them switching so she stays with Tae Yong in the end.

It's true that Seung Cheon stays rich in the end, he decided not to return to his family but he does miss them. Tae Yong also learns about the switching and that he's the real heir but he decides to stay with "his" family because he literally grew up with them and he really does consider them to be his real family. Tae Yong fulfills his dream and becomes pretty well-off with his own abilities. There are only a few people who know about what Seung Cheon did. His real dad found out too, he was deeply hurt and he couldn't forget about it, though he pretends he doesn't know. Both female leads are rich, yes. But Yeo Jin was also originally from a poor family, she switched with her rich friend who died from a terminal illness, I think. So Yeo Jin and Seung Cheon are like these two evil masterminds, while Tae Yong and Joo Hee are good-hearted people.

Which is the best one? Korean or Japanese? (I watched the Korean one, rated it 6)
Personally, I liked the Korean one more but both versions are very well-made. If you didn't enjoy the Korean one, I don't think this one will make a huge difference to you because the stories are basically the same from what I remember

In the webcomic, the two final couples are Seung Cheon & Yeo Jin and Tae Yong & Joo Hee. They might change it for the drama though but I hope they don't, I think the final pairings made sense.

So cool to get an adaptation for this webcomic but I didn't expect to see it so soon, haha. For those wondering: yes, there's romance in this story. In the webcomic, there were two main couples and you get to see how they develop their feelings for each other throughout their lives.
