One month to go before I start my exams. Of which this one month, Two weeks are for internship. I can't believe my precious holidays are over.

I wouldn't consider The Untamed as a Xianxia drama because we don't even have realms involved but I was talking about Wuxia world in general. Dramas like Immortality would be undoubtedly be considered Xianxia but anyway, it depends in how one defines the genre of the Untamed. To me, It would be Wuxia nonetheless

@justjacky I didn't comment with the intention of judging and being rude. Most people who watch the Untamed without reading the novel on which this adaptation is based on get confused in the first episodes of this drama. They wouldn't know why this scene happened and how. I was one of them and by the time I watched the Untamed, I was also diving in the wuxia world. So in order to enjoy this drama more, I advice you to read the novel first before you dive in the Untamed blind. I wouldn't be the captain of directing where the book should be because there are many Mo Dao Zu Shi die hard fans who would be happy to help. I read the book online and for free. So I still I don't know if it's still there because the Mo Dao Zu Shi official book volumes are out already some 1 or 2 years back. I apologise if my comment came off as rude. Take care

I bet I will finish my first year of nursing school when this hasn't aired yet.

That's why I'm regraining from watching this drama. I have seen some numerous kissing scenes between the leads and all I think about is HYX

Alchemy of souls didn't just try especially season 1 and sesson 2 just as I said, it was the characterisation which killed it mostly on Jang Uk's part, As for Naksu ending up the way she did, she had no motive to continue on as Naksu and that's what killed the story. I expected her to look for the bottom of her father's death. Lets separate plot and the budget. There are Chinese dramas which lack both budget and the plot and there dramas which may lack the budget and leave people speechless, The Untamed is one of them. The budget is just a bonus but an amazing plot can cover up for the budget. Many Chinese historical dramas which have an amazing budget but trashy plot, Ashes of love is the best example for me. I have watched many Chinese Wuxia and Xianxia but they all basically have the same plot. Male lead falling in love with the female lead without any reason behind it and in the first half of the drama. The fl acting all cute till the end and the second lead dying because of the female lead. That's the plot device for all the Chinese dramas I have seen so far except for BL censored adaptations.

It's not the budget but the how the audience received these dramas. I enjoyed all these dramas and they had great storyline far much better than the usual Chinese Wuxia where people fall in love really quick without any reason whatsoever and where we have many Mary Sue characters who act cute all the time. Here in Kdrama world, we had great plots with great Fls. It's just that the audience dismissed these dramas way too quickly. forexemple, In Arthdal chronicles, people were hyped about because of Black Pink's Jisoo who wasn't even the female lead and people comparing it to Game of thrones yet the story had nothing to do with it. As for Alchemy of souls, people loved it. It had no problem with ratings and the story was pretty much completed. They tied the loose ends well. my issue was the characterisation of Naksu and Jang Uk plus their wardrobe.

I don't know for others but for me. MDZS is a closed chapter. Thanks to the Untamed, I entered the BL world. I enjoyed the drama and the book. Now all I want is HYX and other drama adaptations based on the books I have read.

I watched a kissing scene in one of those trailing videos and I was like, I wish I could see this with Moran instead of that female lead.

Yan Da and Ying Kong Shi would have made a great leading couple.

And I have documents to read to prepare for a 3 week hospital clinical rotation. I'm so overwhelmed.

I envy you guys who have time to read these beautiful novels. I'm going to add it to my goodreads list.

Thanks for the tips although we rarely get free time since we have lessons every damn day and I go back home late. I have 20 subjects to deal with. The time to make flash cards is almost not there! or am I used to not make them ? I really don't. Now I'm reading Anatomy and there's Surgical nursing waiting for me. As for friends, we have people of all ages, so everyone is kinda busy with their families.

You're tempting me to go and see only that scene yet I'm reading Anatomy
