Ofcourse most chinese dramas although typical wuxias have good wardrobes, it's the plots that suck! We are way past the tradition that it's the men who should be saving women's asses. We are tired of that and the typical acting cute of FLs which makes me puke. I don't finish most of those dramas containing such clichés. That's why bromance dramas have taken the market

To me the wardrobe is not something I'm concerned about because if you look at Uk's character, he was a guy who had a lot on his mind and he was depressed. Most depressed people give up on looking good. He considered himself a dead person walking. So where could he get the pleasure to look good and to whom ?If you compare him with his other friends, he was the most depressed one, he only lived to eradicate soul shifters but THE PLOT. The hong sisters should have done better than this. I was expecting fine epicness in this season.

I watched Ashes of love and he was the only character I liked but I didn't like the drama, too twilightish for me. I watched ever night and I loved everything about it, Chen Fei Yu being the harem guy had me...Ever night is one of my favourites. I even continued to season 2 which wasn't as great without Chen Fei Yu. I haven't watched the other ones but thanks anyway.

That's how most season twos of most dramas go. I haven't witnessed this only here. This happened in ever night too. Season 1 was hella good and then two lost the ever night taste. Writers just get short of ideas and what to put in the following seasons.

I prefer love and redemption than Ashes of love. I even can't give Ashes of love a rewatch. It's that drama which is long but nothing to show other than showing beautiful individuals in love. A typical Chinese twilight Ugh. I prefer the leads in love and redemption although they aren't S class actors but they delivered and I was satisfied. concerning Alchemy of souls, other than the wardrobe people are complaining about, I'm about the plot more. We can get an ML in tatters but when he's delivering a good plot. I have seen that in many good dramas. A good wardrobe is just a bonus to a well executed drama.

Love and redemption had a plot atleast unlike Ashes of love and the FL was powerful. I enjoyed it but Every cliché thing I hate happened to be in Ashes of love. I just couldn't forget the God of war but Jin Mi had nothing to show me other than her being the beautiful damsel in distress. As I stated earlier, I hate weak Fls and there was nothing I could connect with the characters in Ashes of love other than Runyu, he was the only character I could connect with and the hell princess, the rest were just esthétically pleasing to they eye but no connection at all emotionally. It's a drama young girls shouldn't watch because they would think that's how love is supposed to be. Psychologically, it was disturbing.

For me Love and redemption better than Ashes of love. The only thing Ashes of love had was Luo Yunxi, who happened to be the second lead, the ost and the clothing, nothing more. I had hoped for the FL to kick to some ass but she ended up being a Mary Sue, something I got fed up with most typical FLs. The plot literally had nothing, it wasn't a drama to put someone at the edge of their seats, I would roll my eyes when I saw that toxic romance, which was exaggerated. I know it's not real but we need some logical plot.

The romance in Ashes of love is so unrealistic and toxic to me. There was absolutely no plot other than seeing a Mary Sue and and step brothers fighting over a girl to the point of destroying the realms. Runyu's story was the only interesting thing. Love and redemption is better than Ashes of love. Atleast in love and redemption, there's a solid plot but Ashes of love to me was just unrealistic. There was literally no plot to look forward to, only people who are just hindering their love and some supporting their love. Period

Can any one suggest me a Luo Yunxi drama or a Chen Fei Yu drama?

I wouldn't complain about the wardrobe because I have seen dramas with quite some good wardrobe but with shitty plot, the best example is Ashes of love but the hong sisters messed up this season, Idk, is it because we had higher expectations?!

I feel enticed to watch this show. People praise it so much, I should give this a go

I'm back after the exams having melted me with no traces left. They were hard. So I'm clowning hard this week I'm free.

Her character was changed from the fierce girl she once was to some lady of the prestigious family. It didn't feel like I was watching the same naksu. True , I was seeing her face but I missed that aura I she had in that scene fighting Songrim mages.

Ofcourse I meant her powerful aura which made attracted to watch Alchemy of souls. I'm not the type to like damsel in distress female leads, that's why I didn't like Mudeok's character because all I thought of was Naksu, the actress left a deep impression of that scene. It was brief but deep. Nobody will ever forget that fight in season 1, so in season 2, I was expecting her to beat Jin Mu's ass and for Jang Uk to stop being so stupid even being shown countless hints. The actress should take on roles with strong aura but they downgraded her character in this season. The hong sisters just destroyed this season. I was expecting a Korean Nirvana in fire.

I don't know how to feel about this season. It was like food without salt for me but I love that they tackled everything that needed tackling but missed the most important things. Jang Uk not recognising naksu even given with hints was just a bluh and her not being different from other Fls and me not seeing the shadow assassin again made me greatly disappointed.
