The writer of this drama justified herself when people protested this drama in Korea that she intended to write this drama to project the point of view of Jang Ok Jung alone. What would Jang Ok Jung have thought if she were faced with this kind of situation. It has nothing to do with detailed actual historical details surrounding the historical figures. She just did some light research about Dong Yi, Inhyun, Ingyeong and Sukjong and she twisted their characters surrounding the research she made to throw in some historical fictional plot. One can see their historical background but nothing like the characters themselves.

I'm not having high expectations with that drama given that my favourites weren't casted plus Lu Han had more advantage than that actor. Even Song Jiyang was good. Those two were walking Xie Lians for me. If you happen to read TGCF, you will know what we are talking about. The Donghua and the live action are like heaven and hell for me. The Live Action has a lot to go since we have see what the Donghua is capable of.

Him being the ghost king has nothing to do with his character or how he carries himself. It has more to do with Xie Lian

You can't compare him to levels of Luo Yunxi or Xu kai but he's alteast a bit experienced compared to the guy who took Xie Lian's role. If you look at both of them, Lu Han had more advantage over him with this role.

But compared to Lu Han, he has to work even harder given that he even lacks the look of Xie Lian. To me he's a rookie compared to Lu Han

That's Luo Yunxi. It was so good he didn't decline the role the fans had given him. I was so disappointed when Lu Han declined the role of Xie Lian. May be he wasn't confident enough. But helas the role went to some rookie actor.

Hospital playlist is total trash compared to this gem. I even wonder how it garnered those ratings. I watched the first episode in two days and I couldn't go through episode 2. They only talk, no epic surgery. Hospital ship and Doctor starnger are far much better, even doctor John.

This drama lived up to it's expectations in both seasons

You are like me. It's not a drama I will spend my time on. I drop a drama on first two episodes, if it doesn't get better, I drop it.

This drama has high ratings but I'm having serious issues with it like I watched episode 1 in two days. Ep 2 felt draggy. The characters do more talking than action. No real operation scene so far. It's a shame but I'm going to put this on hold. As a viewer who enjoyed doctor romantic, this is a drag for me.
