The drama is actually better than i thought. If you’re late for the show like me, watch 4 episodes in a row then every detail is very well connected. This drama is its own genre, it’s aesthetically painful and beautiful.
As a fan of the drama, I find many people and me as well rooting for the main couple so freaking hard are getting super annoyed by the Mountain God and Gye Sun Woo. Even in Dam's dream, her scene with GSW felt so forced just like a sister and younger brother romance. Only Shin Woo Yeo, Yang Hye Sun and Do Jae Jin have the best char developments. Shin Woo Yeo fell in love for the first time in centuries that's why he's so head over heels for Dam, he's getting more jealous now, his jelous scenes are so satisfying, looks like the a**hole Mountain God is trying to make Shin Woo Yeo feel all the emotions of a human with that red string, his motives are not bad but I still hate him (ngl the actor played that mt god is hawt af). YHS and DJJ's lovey-dovey yet really thoughtful friendship/relationship is so so so refreshing. And then there's Gye Sun Woo, he can't take no for the answer and leave Dam alone. Right about time when I thought I'd catch some of those SLS but when the future scenes came up, I was like neigh, no one can replace Shin Woo Yeo.
I was thinking why does the bead keep popping out of Woo Yeo whenever Lee Dam is around?
Because she's the only one who can pop it out, that's why in ep 1, he was curious about her and kept her in his house to observe her instead of retreive the bead right away.
Jang Ki Yong is the most underrated K actor. If you watch him in My Mister as the gangster money lender you will…
He has got a lot to learn to be considered "an A level actor" but I already see his potential, I don't have much time to check out his previous work but I'll definitely keep an eye on his future work from now on.
@Pinnypenny I’ll be honest in saying that I wasn’t too sure what to make of the casting choice of Jang Ki…
agreed. But he wasn't a human then, and the first few episodes didn't show much about his personality or his past either. Only since Dam moved in and they started living together, he gradually, slowly becomes more human and more alive than he ever was . I would say Jang Ki Yong has a good control of his acting, he knows how and when to act chic and cold, mysterious, creepy, calm, warm, sad or even better, he can do everything all at once. Hyeri, Do Wan, Hanna are super excellent too. I love everything little detail in this drama, there's still many details that don't make any sense to me but forgivable. All in all, this is a feel good drama and i highly recommend it.
Shin Woo Yeo's lines are cheesy but somehow when Jang Ki Yong speaks them, it sounds like the most beautiful language in the world. His acting is so good, you can actually feel the longingness, frustration when Dam rejected him. Am I the only one thinks that he's the best in this drama? I got goosebumps everytime his face appears on screen and when he walks also when he talks. He's more than just a pretty face and tall height to me.
