It's the really small things that add and how Pat played into the comedy relief role.As a man these are just a few things I noticed but some makeup and styling guru could describe it better

*Her lipstick was done in a sort of vague and messy way without clearly defined lines.

*Patches of pale makeup on just her cheeks in a few scenes cheapen her looks as well and sometime blush that was done a bit poorly.

*Her hair style with half being nearly overdone
curls at the bottom, either give her curls throughout or none at all

They didn't go overboard but everything was done just enough to not give her a distinct look eg glamourous, girl next door, country girl.

Also key to this was Pat's mannerisms, she came to being a loudmouth but not quite.

So the viewer can resonate with her look or her character because it was made into this weird mix that wasn't quite weird.

I've watched Pat for a long time and in fact she was my phone wallpaper for awhile so to me all these small details were noticeable.

They really had to do Pat's makeup badly to make her less pretty. I didn't realise who she was until I wanted to know who the pretty Hidako was until I looked at the cast

I noticed a few blackface comment's and just had to say that their is NO blackface in this lakorn. The FL is not trying to be black but is trying to be seen as someone from the countryside. Her darkness represents more of an economic background and not a race, as being dark equates to working outdoors and is usually tied to farm workers and other menial jobs. Her adoption of the Isan dialect further reinforces this idea that she is from the countryside and even her old fashioned hairstyle adds to her country bumpkin disquise.

Blackface equals another race trying to be a black character

FL is just acting as a dark skin country girl

Please don't just judge the surface and bring your own prejudices into something that is not meant about race. I personally know cousins in Thailand and Laos who are farmers who are a while lot darker than what she is portraying.
