What you say is certainly true. Nevertheless, all the hype surrounding this series is unlikely to go unnoticed in China. And the effects could be felt by those involved. I too saw the unspeakable scenes involving the two main actors on the plane and at the airport. I can only hope that management learns from this and takes appropriate countermeasures. These are not fans, they are psychopaths.

I would be very happy if that is actually the case. We'll see, but I remain skeptical about the statements. No one can know whether it will be edited out of the next episodes or not. The statement about rights and streaming platforms may be true, but the people involved in this series are Chinese and live there. And these actors want to continue working after this series.

There are plenty of examples where exactly that has happened. C-Series that have been cut so heavily that the whole series ends up with completely unrelated scenes. And always these naive statements that the writers haven't officially confirmed anything. Does anyone here believe that the writer will come out and say that the Chinese government exerted pressure and that the series had to be toned down as a result? In my opinion, these changes are primarily intended to protect the actors, because otherwise they won't get any more roles anywhere else in China.

The gay scenes that are being criticized in this series are harmless compared to Thai series. And now even those few scenes are being cut out. This BL series is going to degenerate into a bromance, you'll see. But that was to be expected. I don't understand why they keep trying. The Chinese government has the upper hand, and either the scenes are cut or the series is banned. I don't really understand the hype surrounding this series, but that's just a matter of taste.
