In the novel her cousin was jst an arrogant teenager from new york (the story takes place in america and not Shanghai…
Glad to know that. I think I'd prefer read the novel.

Agree much! I can't stand how ML treats FL. Tbh, if I were Kesong, I would run faraway the moment he accept her as disciple. In the drama, it seems that ML doesn't really teach FL the important thing. Instead he abuses FL (not giving her meal, turning her into a home prisoner, etc).

At the end, I just can't help but wondering why they turn ML into something like this?

Once again thank you for answering my question!!!

Thanks for the reply. Also, can you tell me if ML isn't "Gordon Ramsey" like in the novel? Well, i mean he gets angry a lot and misunderstand Ke song many times in the tv drama that it makes me feel bad to Ke Song

She did get in a good slap your face to her cousin. She later commented to Jiang Qian Fan that it felt so good.…
Thanks for the reply

I want to ask if any of you have read the novel. Is Ke Song also being a doormat there? I'm sad that Ke Song almost has no backbone at all here 😥
