The difference with 2 Moons 2 and LBC2 is that 2M2 had everyone recasted so we knew what to expect. We knew it…
Stop trying to police other people's feelings and thoughts. If they don't like it and what's happened to the show, they don't have to like it. And if you don't like their opinions, then don't read their opinions. Speak your feelings about the show, but don't be trying to tell other people how to feel about the show and what they should be upset over. You're trying to make others feel bad for their criticism and that's not right. I don't care if they are international fans, they still have a right to review something they watched.

I don't think so. Concerning the fact that the actor who played Tharn in this series has his own BL series coming…
Earth doesn't play that character anymore. Gulf does and is more popular as the character now. Even if Earth was available, I'm sure they'd go with Gulf cause TharnType was popular in its own right and had him as the character of Type. At the end of Tharntype, they basically established Gulf as Type as canon now cause they had him and Tharn with some of the other cast of Love by Chance.

I've decided to go here and look through the comments... well... you want to tell me, this drama has 10 eps in…
That's not true. It ends with a happily ever after. They even all claim "we'll be together forever," to each other as brothers and a family and to their lovers. What more can you ask for in a romance film where the goal is to show love conquering all and winning at the end. Love won. They all end up with their chosen somebody. There wasn't much angst in this so there wasn't a whole lot of conflict to resolve. But what problems they did have were resolved by the end of the film. And that's what it felt like to me- a movie, not a series.

Before you cast this aside because of the bad reviews, watch it for yourself, you might just like it.I LOVED IT…
Yeah, it's actually really sweet. And surprisingly didn't feel that rushed. No more so than people falling in love in the span of your typical romance movie (which is usually an hour and a half to two hours). And that's what this felt like to me, a movie more than a series.

But Mean and Saint were on TharnType playing Tin and Pete. It was just a cameo at the end of the last episode, but still they've established that Mew and Gulf are playing Tharn and Type now. They also did a cameo as Tharn and Type on another BL series that's unrelated. So they might be given a cameo in this one before or during their work on season 2 of TharnType.

Title Why R U?
Honestly as much as I like TT or BoomPeak I find all those special cameos completely useless and they only take…
Agreed. That's how I feel exactly. I love Tharn Type and a love their scene, but I still felt that the camera lingered on them longer than it should have. This isn't their show, so the focus really should be on the two main couples. I hate that it seems like they want to give more attention to the side characters instead. :/

Title Why R U?
The side characters ughh, make it SO SO hard to get through the episode. I've only watched part 1 of episode 2…
Agreed. They spend way too much time on these side characters who aren't doing anything relevant that I can see so far. So they could have been spending that time developing the main couples. It's frustrating and makes the writing and direction seem disorganized cause the scenes with the side characters are usually long winded. There's no need for the camera to linger one them as long as it does.

Title Why R U?
Is it me or does this show focus way too much and spends way too much time on the seemingly irrelevant side characters when they could be spending that time developing the main characters and couples? I love Tharn and Type, but even I was thinking "Wow, they're lingering on them for quite a while. Is this their show now? Why are they spending so much time one them, especially if this is just a one-off cameo?" And those girls and the "Cute Boy Facebook page" that's in every BL. Why spend so much time on them. The second half of the first part of the episode was all on them.

How about you don't tell people how to feel about a show that meant a lot to them, in particular young queer people,…
I'm a young queer person, how about you don't tell me what I can and cannot post! I'm entitled to my opinion as you. Got a problem with it? Move on. I didn't respond to you, you responded to me. Thank you. I don't know who the hell you are. I said what I said. And you will have to move on, like it or not cause what can you do about it? It's over. You hate for me to say it, but that's the reality you will have to face either way. The sooner you come to terms with that the better you'll be. It's just a tv show. There was nothing bad nor offensive in it, it just has a sad ending. Cry and let it go.

This show is not ruining the history franchise. It is in my opinion the best bl drama that exists. It is more…
They didn't show him getting together with anyone. It was just his parents telling him to find and hookup with some girl they knew in America cause that's where he was about to go to attend Stanford University. It doesn't sound like his parents ever accepted his relationship with a guy and still don't accept that he might be gay or bisexual. But the series never showed him moving on. The whole episode was about how he wasn't moving on. After 6 years, he was still trying to be closer to Yu Xi Gu. That's why he was studying so much and became a top student, getting a degree in physics and attending master programs and everything. Dedicating his life to be the student Yu Xi Gu wanted to be in hopes that it'll make him feel closer to Yu Xi Gu. But it didn't. Cause in the end he realized the more time went on, the further away he was to who he used to be and the time he spent with Yu Xi Gu, cause Yu Xi Gu would forever be 18 years old and in the past. I think Xiang Hao Ting had to learn that he can't live his life trying to reach the past, or else he would miss out on the present. He didn't hang out with his friends, he didn't spend a whole lot of time with his family, he didn't date and hasn't dated anyone else since and everyone is worried about him because he's not living his life anymore. Like I said in another comment, Yu Xi Gu died, but Xiang Hao Ting became a ghost. I think that sums up how he's been living his life for the last 6 years after Yu Xi Gu's death. I cried more for him during this episode cause his character seemed so miserable in the final two episodes. Everyone else is happy, laughing, enjoying life and he isn't. I'm surprised he didn't try to kill himself. By the end of the show, he was still miserable, and I wasn't sure if he was genuine when he said he's going to try to get better or was just saying that to appease his friend.

In the ending, Sun Bo does ask Xiang Hao Ting if he'd date another boy (bringing up that Xiang Hao Ting once said he was only gay for Yu Xi Gu), and Xiang Hao Ting says nobody could replace Yu Xi Gu. I don't know what that means. Does that mean he won't date other men to be faithful to Yu Xi Gu's memory or if it was the writer keeping up with the "only gay for you," trope.

Ending happened...
Stop at episode 18 (or episode 9 if how you're watching it is when two episodes are put together like on Viki and KissAsian) if you don't want to see the ending.

Some of y'all are being overly dramatic- talking about how you can't eat, sleep, and your life is ruined. But calm down. It's just a tv show. Yes it's sad and disappointing how it ended (I didn't like it), and it plays into the horrible "kill your gays," and "I'm only gay for you," tropes, but it was a good ride while it lasted. I don't regret watching it, and I'm excited to see more of the History series. There's always fan fiction. It might even be therapeutic and productive to write your own and end the show how you'd like it to end and share that with the world. Or just move on to the next show.

Definitely want season 2 where it continues like yu xi is not dead just lost his memory and his aunt dint told…
That's what I thought they were doing in the final episodes, that the guy who looked like Yu Xi Gu was Yu Xi Gu but he had some kind of brain damage and was acting like a kid and didn't remember Xiang Hao Ting. But Xiang Hao Ting still visited him just to spend time with him even though Yu Xi Gu didn't remember their time together nor their love for each other and has mentally regressed to having the brain of a 8 year old or something. I didn't know it was just a doppelganger until they said Yu Xi Gu died.

Just don't watch episodes 19 and 20 then. Everything is happy and great up until that point.

The ending, no matter how we dislike it, is a fact of life. Not everything ends in "Happy ever after"... Some are…
I agree. The ending was sad, and I wish it didn't end like that, but people lose their loved ones everyday. It wouldn't have been as sad if Hao Ting didn't seem so miserable 6 years later. I was crying more for him. He hasn't moved on in his life, he's not enjoying his life, and that little bit at the end did not give me closure. It did not make me think he was better- only pretending to be for his friend's sake. It's like they both died- Xi Gu when he got ran over and Hao Ting when he never moved on from the past. Xi Gu was dead, but Hao Ting was a ghost.

I'd still watch more of the History series and I hope they continue to make a lot more, but please no more tragic endings.

Title TharnType Spoiler
Does this series shares similar things with the novel? I mean in its plot? Like I am fvckng crazy thinking on…
Also, nobody dies. Type and Tar become good friends and bond over their shared experiences. Type and Tar have both been raped. Type and Tharn are still together years later cause the show Love By Chance is a sequel to TharnType, though it features other couples. Type is a senior in Love By Chance while I think Tharn is finished with college. He doesn't show up in Love By Chance, but Type does as well as Tar and Tum and you get more of their story in Love By Chance.

They're all good friends in the end.

Beautiful shot movie. Well acted. Tragic story, but one I don't regret watching even though I've heard of this premise before and probably have seen it in other films. It was treat to behold. All the actors and costumes are gorgeous. Go watch it but don't expect any BL out of this.
