Great melodrama about growing up full of romance & angst, it’s well written, portrayed and wonderfully directed. But I have to admit that around ep. 10 it became very slow and goes a bit around a circle before giving us a proper closure. Overall I like it almost as much as My Love Eun Dong, both dramas share the same vibe, but the story is different.

The vibe is very similar cause there is this past-present romance story, but the theme is different. It's about how people change from college time to adult time when life hits hard. Very well directed and portayed.
My expectations end up in a flop. Not the first time it happens and definitely won’t be the last. Review will follow in the near future, it depends if I catch the right time-line. xD
The main concept may be brilliant but the script is not well written and definitely it is badly executed (editing and direction). They have unnecessary complicated a plot that was already complex of his own due to the amounts of characters and plot-line. Add all the plot holes, the bad CGI, the awkward romance, a useless fantasy cause the two worlds look like a normal SK most of the times. And what positive aspects are left? The great cast, the acting and the scenography. Definitely not enough to save a drama.
I want to point out that this is not about understanding a plot or not. This is about understanding it AND being able to point out good and flaws without being biased. I love the screenwriter, I love the cast, I love fantasy sci-fi concept, I see the potential of this script. BUT I have to admit that it turn out to be a giant mess.
Maybe with less characters and a different direction the drama would have had more screen time to develop things better. We will never know.

It had the potential to do much more, the inconsistency of writing was the flaw here. I liked the overall production, the direction, the eccentric vibe, the acting & the ost.

A mio avviso più opinioni senti, più teorie ti fai e più l’indecisione sale. Io non considero mai i voti su MDL, ma in questo specifico caso sospetto che in molti erano interessati solo alla coppia giovane, quando hanno iniziato a mostrare un po’ di più l’altra coppia, si sono scocciati e hanno votato basso o abbandonato la serie. Sebbene la coppia giovane sia fantastica, bisogna saper apprezzare un drama nel suo insieme, e loro non sono i soli protagonisti della storia. Il drama nel suo complesso trasuda tristezza e sofferenza, ma parla anche di amore e di guarigione, è comunque troppo presto per trarre conclusioni sul finale. A questo punto, o aspetti per sapere come finisce, o lo provi e vedi com’è. La decisione è tua personale.

It's too much of a mess to explain, to sum up, it turns out that the king is not the only one who has crossed the portal. There are many characters that live between the two worlds, many factions that fight against each other. Some people died, some got shot and in the last episodes they try to kill FL off.
